DISAPPOINTMENT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS.


Ten was pretty ?

That's about the only good thing that comes to my mind right now, SADLY.

There was no plot, the secondary characters where UNBELIEVABLY irritating and the whole thing looked ridiculous about 90% of the time.

ETA : okay I *loved* Russell Tovey (History Boys <3) and the fact that his character was named Alonzo XD
He would have made a fantastic companion.
The rest of the characters were still rubbish though.


Astrid Peth was so BLAND, I just couldn't give a toss about her !
Oh Martha, your win is sorely missed.

And moments like the Doctor carried away by the angels and the flight of the Titanic above Buckingham Palace made me facepalm so hard I almost hurt myself.

I'll sleep on it and wait to see if a second watching makes it better, I really hope so.



Fortunately the series 4 teaser ROCKED like a ROCKING thing OMG.

I'm so thrilled that Ten and Donna are snogging that it almost erased the whole EPIC FAIL that was this christmas special.

I'm shipping them hardcore. *squees*



I think I'll have to erase all my Ten/Astrid icons now *shudders*

Dude I can NOT be shipping Ten/Donna. It's wrong enough that half the universe is shipping Ten/Astrid.

NO MORE SHIPPING.OMG.TEN IS A MASSIVE SPACE WHORE AND I CAN'T EVEN DEAL WITH IT.

This isn't what Who is supposed to be... maybe i'm just clinging onto the core values of Classic Who too much, and a bit of flirtation is all well and good... but must he really suck face with everything that moves?! That isn't Who.

But yes. Season Four trailer was HOT LIEK WOAHS. And the new theme music was also much win.

Otherwise though... it was a pile of rubbish and forced me to give myself a DOUBLE gin and tonic just to deal with the pain.

I'm still not sure about the new theme tune, but I'll surely warm up to it.

Ten and Donna look like they're going to BURN the screen with chemistry and I'll happily ship them for the sake of LOLZ and the crackiness that this pairing already induces.
Ten is a slag anyway.

Classic who doesn't prevent the shipping at all in my mind, Two/Jamie, Four/Romana and Five/Turlough are just a few exemples that it's still very popular.

Those Classic relationships were generally not about pulling though... it was all about the chemistry and tension, it wasn't about playing tonsil hockey and a quick shag. Ten can be a slag, but I don't think he should be the sort of slag who HAS NO TASTE and just gets with anyone for the sake of it.

He's 903... surely he should be a discerning slag by now? He's past adolescent idiocy. Not past Koschei, to be sure, but that was less idiocy and more Meant-To-Be.

I know i'm being a bit too Old Skool about it all... but I think there comes a time when one must draw a line.

Well to be honest I didn't see the appeal in Astrid either, she felt just so... Transparent and unexciting. I couldn't believe Ten falling for her one second.

Donna is another story. And I feel that they'll bounce off each other and have a really sparky relationship, not mooning all day long and be romantic about it. So it will hopefully be about chemisty and tension, much more like classic who.

He could never be past Koschei, there's no competition.

I have come to like Donna, just from that S4 trailer... but I shan't be shipping. It's one thing to enjoy a sparky relationship, but another to ship. Ten and Donna sexing? OMGNOES. Ten/Anyone-But-The-Master sexing just seems so much like not even worth it. It's forever love! Literally.

I do like Donna though... now.

ASTRID THOGUH. Eurgh. Not in the slightest. What is with Ten being all moon-eyed over her?!

I don't blame Kylie, I think she did a decent job. But the character completely failed to pick my interest.
