I have very few things to say on this one, I loved it despite the silly ending and Merlin (the character) blew me away. Colin Morgan was bloody A-MA-ZING, I think I have never loved Merlin as much as I did in this.

* Morgana the Loony gave me chills
* Uther broke my heart and made me flail like crazy
* The landscape shots had never been so gorgeous
* ARTHUR'S NAKED CHEST. A dying man has never looked so hot.
* The random Arthur/Gwen scenes were completely sweet, to my surprise.
* Teary-eyed Merlin made me flail as well
* Pissed off!Powerful!Merlin made me flail harder
* The scene where Merlin says goodbye to Arthur AMLZDJAZMJDASLMJDAML. HE SAID THE PRAT QUOTE FROM THE PILOT AGAIN. Their love is so fucking beautiful <3
* OMG SLASH DRAGON GONE BAD. THAT WAS EPIC.
* I was about to be heartbroken by the loss of Gaius but suddenly he got better. I like happy endings, then again vanilla can get old really fast.
* COLIN MORGAN deserved to be mentioned again for his outstanding performance. I need a decent 'I am Merlin and I PWN' icon, because he looks mostly stupid on the ones I already have.

Um... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but its not a year you're gonna have to wait. Its gonna be at least two. cos 2009 is gonna be the 3rd (and last *crys*)series of robin hood so merlin will prolly be back in 2010.:(

Well, I hate to point it to you but that entry of yours seems way less squee-filled in a big all-encompassing way than usual.

MY FUTURE PSYCHOLOGIST SELF PREDICTS THAT TOMORROW YOU WILL WAKE UP AND FEEL LIKE SOME OF ITS SCENES WERE GREAT BUT THAT SOMETHING WAS LACKING, OVERALL.


If we switch Morgana's legendary name for Morgana Le Loony, I'll lol. Possibly for ever. (PLUS OMG MORGANA! YOU INTENSE COMPLETELY NUTS YOU! *GLOMPS* )

ARTHUR'S SWEATY CHEST WAS KIND OF HOT, YEAH. And by "kind of" I obviously mean 'heeeeello, you object of desire that will accompany my dreams for weeks and weeks'. AND IT'S HAIRY AND STUFF, WEEEEEEEH \o/

Colin Morgan totally carried the episode on his successively cute, fierce, dangerous, intense, dramatic shoulders, AND I MAY LOVE HIS NEVER-ENDING TALENT.

You know what I think about the first Arthur/Gwen scene, but I'll give you that the second one was cute. Particularly with Arthur shamelessly teasing her and calling her Guineviere. Eh. (I'm just hoping SO FUCKING HARD that they don't go for a love union between them - just, make it because she'd be a great queen or stuff, but don't try and make it what the legend wasn't about; don't make it to the ultimate love story it isn't)

THE SLASH DRAGON BEING EVIL ROCKED MY SOCKS. And yet, not exactly evil per se. What I mean is: IT ROCKS THAT IT GETS PROPER AMBIGUOUS CHARACTERIZATION \o/

Since series 2 starts shooting in March, I find it hard to believe that they won't be able to accommodate their fall schedule and air both shows :)

Well, I also enjoyed Gwen's first speech apart from the 'I only go on to see you King' nonsense which was laughable. (Like you, I think it would rock if she became queen because of some sort of arrangement that doesn't involve love. Although has Arthur and Guinievre's relationship ever been depicted as the Ultimate Love Story ? I don't think we should have too much worries on that front.)

The Slash Dragon has now a better characterization than several non CGI characters on the show, this is trufax.
