rosengirl: (Derren Brown dark thoughts)

No of course you fucked it up didn't you ? Well done ! Well done Derren with your mind skills there.

So I watched the last of Derren's Events (How to take down a casino. Or not.) yesterday and I was quite baffled by the fact that the whole series ended on a failure.

Well it was a pretty close call since the ball of the roulette wheel ended up next to the number he guessed so it *was* impressive nonetheless but still. The guy who thought he was losing 5000 pounds made a special face when it happened and I love that the tech guys were all "don't worry we're giving your money back". End credits roll. LOL what a ludicrous ending !

Actually the part that really made my jaw drop was the trajectory guess on the squash court. I still can't wrap my head around it O_o

On second thoughts I kinda liked that he failed in the end because it was sort of cool in its unexpectedness but today, oh I JUST LOVE IT.

Because thanks to that, he's now posting silly vids of himself rambling about it while doing a Stewie (from Family Guy) impression. And it completely made my day.

And those of you on twitter can follow me too if you have nothing better to do than listen to the transparent and lonely bids for affection from a balding middle aged man who ends living out of smug guesswork. ANYWAY TA TA ! The mind control device is almost ready.

This entire quote is the essence of my obsessive love for this man.

Now for the rest of the telly watching,

Merlin 203 - The Nightmare Begins

Extreme love for that one and it's not entirely Morgana related since she was a bit too passive/ankle twisting type for my liking. Fortunately she seems to be kicking arses next episode so I can forgive it.
So if I don't aknowledge my obvious frustration about Merlin not telling her about being a sorcerer (although I never expect them to do something drastic in this show since last year's finale so it's not like I was really expecting it), I *adored* all the Merlin/Morgana this episode generously provided ! If Arthur is able to get Gwen as his beard, I'm 100% ok with Merlin doing the same with Morgana, they were much love.
The druids were FTW and Mordred was at his creepiest and I can't wait for him to come back again. Loved his interactions with Merlin and Morgana and I really wanted Arthur to come face to face with him once more but I guess I'll have to wait. Otherwise OH HAI COLIN SALMON. Will every episode have awesome guest stars this series ? Because so far it's a hit.

I could wax poetry about Arthur's jealousy because, you know ONLY MORGANA GETS TOKEN OF MERLIN'S AFFECTION AND THAT'S JUST NOT SITTING RIGHT WITH HIM. The man deserved nice flowers after this. I hope Merlin obliged.

I could wax poetry about Uther's intense love for Morgana BECAUSE HE WILL SURELY END YOU IF YOU COME IN THE WAY OF THEIR LOVE. That welcome back hug had me flailing like a crazy fangirl.

I cannot tell you how much I'm excited about this week's episode. The trailer made it look like it will be Teh Orsum to end all Orsum. And everyone seem to be equally involved for a change.

Dexter 4x02 - Remains to be Seen

OH LORDY LORD LORD. I AM LOVING THIS SEASON SOMETHING FIERCE.
The body part weren't in the trunk after all but I loved his short term memory loss problem and how he chased after himself all episode.
I'm also really loving Quinn's behaviour with him and how it seems that they're building something that will last there. I didn't pay too much attention at it during the first ep but they definitely are setting something up with them now I think (and hope). The way Dex snapped at him on the parking lot was VERY HOT.
I love that Lundy's motivations are entirely Deb unrelated (even if I liked their relationship back in season 2) and I'm quite amused that Deb's two love interests played unsubs in Criminal minds.
Maria and Angel could get old fast but it's... Ok so far.

The Trinity killer is creepy love. I'm really digging the storyline of the season.

House 6x04 - The Tyrant

OH YUS.

Bossy Wilson was all kinds of hot but I was really scared when he was about to kick House out (scared but understanding since it was to protect House) because I really thought this marriage was (temporally) over.
BUT HAVE NO FEAR BECAUSE I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HOUSE WOULD NOT HAVE IT. HE WAS SLEEPING EVERY NIGHT IN WILSON'S BED. WITH WILSON. AFTER ALL.
So I loved when he went all psychopath Dexter style on the neighbour's ass because it showed the extent of his luuuuv.
Their last scene with Wilson willing to give him a chance was also squee inducing AND ALSO THAT UBER FLAILY BIT WERE THEY BOTH WENT 'WOAAAH' AT THE SAME TIME WHEN WATCHING SOME DOCUMENTARY. Their love is so domestic.
Also loved that House used 'we' several times and that Wilson compared themselves to a canon het couple from that other show I don't watch (imagining Wilson watching True Blood is completely hilarious though XD)

Darth Vader was epic as the african dictator and I kinda loved that the old team was brought back together (if only for House's "OMG are we three years ago ?" line XD).
I loooooved House doing charades. HUGH LAURIE MADE THE BEST FACES EVER IN THAT SCENE. I could hardly breath.
Foreman was still an ass and Cameron quite frankly cannot go soon enough but I really loved Chase's involvement in the story. He really had more character development in 40 minutes there than he did during the last 5 seasons. I loved his dodgy choice and I'm already embracing his angst. Also approved the gratuitous barechest moment. His last scene with Foreman was incredible.

The only thing that was missing ? TAUB because right now TAUB > Every. Other. Secondary. Characters. Ever. (apart from Wilson and Cuddy which I don't consider as secondary). I read somewhere that somebody said that he went on a spiritual journey to find Kutner. AAAAAW this is now my personal canon.

No but seriously, bring back Taub. We love Taub. Taub can stay.

Gossip Girl 3x04 - Dan de Fleurette LOL SRSLY ?

Dan has now the most cliche arc in the history of cliches. Hilary Duff's emo movie star character who just wants to be treated like a normal person is painfully eyerolling and Dan playing the love interest who magically is the only dude on the planet who has never ever heard of her is just crazy ridiculous, even by this show's standards.

Fortunately Chuck makes everything better and I really liked him having scenes with Jenny. Jenny was cute with Eric this week and had things to do. It was a bit great.

So Chuck yes, Chuck is the most perfect boyfriend ever. I loved how he did everything he could to make Bair's self-esteemo go away. And him sending her her old school uniform for future kinky sex was just super, super hot.

I've read the threesome spoiler and it better involve Chuck because they will make the biggest mistake of History if it doesn't. You can't have Ed Westwick AND a threesome storyline and not mix it together, at least I hope that they're not *that* dumb. I also hope that it will involve Blair and that the third party is male, obviously.

Supernatural was very impressive, especially in the acting department. Jensen and Jared were at their most brilliant here.

Dollhouse is suprising because the start of the season is Echo centric but the episodes are really good and Dushku can act. Alexis's character needs to get more interesting for my sanity's sake though.

I liked HIMYM and I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Big Bang Theory, especially the Sheldon/Penny stuff and the Howard/Raj bits ♥.

FlashForward 1x02 was super weak imho, despite the fact that Jack Davenport had more scenes, which makes the mind boggle. I can't see myself sticking around for too long but I'll keep watching it for the few interesting stuff and my hope that it gets amazing soon (which I doubt).

Buzzcocks sans Simon was not the same but still very funny. I love the show for what it is so I'll stay committed to it.

My love/hate thing for Russell Brand has switched to Noel Fielding btw. I only have naughty feelings for Russell right now (saw Doing Life and the extras earlier and his brilliance is a bit blinding).

Now on the Joseph Gordon-Levitt front (yes please), I'm about to watch Brick and I also found out that he already did a film with Zooey Deschanel called Manic. He's the lead again and the pitch is pretty interesting *will get her hands on that one next*

Today is Glee/Criminal Minds Day.
I'm such a big fan of those todays.
