Merlin was superb last night.
They are fantastic at crack but I really have a thing for the darker episodes.
I'm reviewing this from memory so I may forget a ton of stuff.
I'm in absolute, ABSOLUTE AWE at all the scenes shared by Anthony Head and Katie McGrath. They have incredible chemistry and they give a lot of depth to their characters with nuanced performances.
And of course it makes it hot like burning, which doesn't hurt !
So hmm yes, Uther and Morgana's relationship was the main attraction in this. Morgana's frustration and rage was pitch perfect and I loved to bits her scene with Arthur in the dungeon, you could cut the tension with a knife.
Oh and Morgana/Gwen was ON last night, there's still not much substance to Gwen's character but I do love her sweet interactions with Morgana.
Arthur was, once again, ADMIRABLE.
Merlin's inner battle was also very interesting to watch. I tend to forget that he has a brain sometimes so having him being torn about the necessity of Uther's death in the grand scheme of things was awesome.
The Slash's Dragon's unexpected shaddiness was also a good suprise.
Dark green is definitely Morgan's colour because I did find myself thinking' could she be more blindingly beautiful ? I THINK NOT'.
I did worry at some point that they would actually kill Uther and went 'OMG IF THEY KICK TONY FROM THE SHOW AFTER ONLY ONE SERIES I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM.' I didn't truly believe that they would get rid of such an awesome character yet but you never know.
Morgana's last scene with Uther by her father's tomb was by far the best from the episode. It was a bit heartbreaking. The fact that it was Uther himself that made her resolution to kill him falter was made of 57 flavours of awesome. Their hate/love relationship is fascinating and I hope that we will have as much of those delightful interactions in the next series !
I knew the title of the finale so I wasn't completely surprised by what the trailer shown us but OMFG DOES IT LOOK EPIC AND AWESOME. AND AZPSADJPOASDJA EPIC & AWESOME.
Btw, am I the only one who find that Merlin saying 'friend' when speaking of Arthur sounds completely weird ?
Also, is it normal to find dead!Arthur ridiculously HOT ?

I had never laughed this hard since the series 2 opener !
Especially the bit when Moss threw the full cup of hot coffee on Roy and upon realisation of his mistake (a good 5 minutes after the fact) run face first into the door BWAHAHAHAHAHAH LMAO LMAO LOLZ LOLZ ROTFL.

I must have watched their President video around 15 times now ♥♥♥

I love Merlin/Arthur to bits but I'm such a sucker for Uther/Morgana too. Their chemistry is just as good !
