I LOLED SO HARD AT ALL THE ALL BY MYSELF BITS. SO HARD.

I especially love when it cuts back to Nine rolling his eyes at the All By Myself fest. Brilliant editing.

Yes to Jack's song and also at Lily Allen for Martha XD

At first I was all 'It's no 'sex has made me stupid' but it's catchy, I guess.'

Now I'm in serious danger of pointing at girls in the hall and screaming 'YOU! WAKE UP! SINGWRITEPAINTMAKE!'

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
It's very very catchy. And a good kickstart for the day.

Hahaha YES I had it constantly in my head for the last 2 days and shout the words randomly too.

Ahah, excellent! ^^ The "All by myself" parts are just hilarious! And those funny faces are EXACTLY the reason why I miss Nine ^^

Arf, I'm afraid I'm still not a fan of Robots in Disguise though. I really want to like them but I always feel like they spent more time on the concept and visuals than the actual music :/

Yes it was a brilliant reminder of what was good and bad in the RTD years.

I am a HUGE RiD fan, I have their first 3 albums and really never stopped listening to them. I do love that new song because it's quite catchy. However I completely understand where you come from because I used to HATE their music but one day I listened to Turn it Up (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H13RprHi3I) and found that I actually loved it so I tried to give them a second chance and was won over in the end.

I also think you should check out The Tears (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NE51UKUA1U), I Don't Have A God (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlvdSA4GIRE) and The Sex Has Made Me Stupid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60TgbFcMMSU).

I think it's a band that really grows on you. Their music is original and fun and I never got bored of it once I learnt to appreciate it.

Well, actually "Turn it up" is one of the few I really like! Because there are some exceptions.
For example I also like "The tears" but I think I know what my problem is: I don't like their voices. Sue's always whispering and it reminds me of some French singers and it sounds like Dee's always shouting, and it doesn't marry well :/

But yeah, I don't HATE them, I just don't really mind them... Maybe I'll end up changing my mind like you!

Eh, well I don't know then because I love the marriage of their voices and I really did go through the HATE/LOVE extremes, never indifference. But hey to each its own ^^
