rosengirl: (DW : Ten/Donna it broke my hearts)

(no subject)

So I'll get this out of the way since everyone and their dogs are talking about it.

My Eleven Wishlist :

- Philip Glenister (if A2A stopped after the next series it could happen and I want it so damn hard !)
- David Morrissey (I know it's so in our face that it's not likely but I can't rule it out because it would be hilarous if that was actually it)
- Dylan Moran
- Stephen Fry
- James Nesbitt
- Julian Barratt (it's my list I put who I want *sticks tongue*)
- Jack Davenport (mostly for eyecandy reasons I admit)
- Julian Rhind-Tutt (I know I'm saying this over one guest stint on Merlin but he would totally pull it off)
- Russell Brand... No I'm joking. No. Really, I'm joking. Hahaha. *clears throat*

I've heard about the Paterson Joseph rumours but I have no opinion since I've never seen him in something. Maybe he would be a better choice because I didn't know Tennant or Eccleston before they got the part either.

I thought I was taking the news about Tennant leaving relatively well except that I discovered that I can't watch a Ten songvid without wanting to cry right now. Eh.

As for this week's teevee watching (in short)

The last 2 Pushing Daisies delivered their usual dose of happy happy. I love that show and its adorableness. However I don't think I would terribly miss it if it was cancelled because as much as I enjoy what I see, I have zero investment in it. But it is absolutely cute and good natured and I love Lee Pace like pie <3

Chuck now has Buster in it and it is even more AWESOME. Buster !

No HIMYM this week and it BLOWS.

House... I loved Cuddy in this episode. I was gutted that she wasn't allowed to have her child and wish they would make some characters happy for a change (you know apart from House and Wilson making each other happy... Well most of the time). I did not like how much of an asshole House was to her. I loved him for eating Wilson's apple <3. I'm very satisfied about the way they did the House/Cuddy kiss because apart from the hotness, it really felt like he kissed her because he really had no clue about what he was supposed to say or do next. So I liked that it wasn't a big fluffy revelation but an impulsive reaction that came out of an argument. I'm also a big fan of [livejournal.com profile] marah_sarie's theory about House's bisexuality.

The Office and Ugly Betty were doing fine this week. Well, apart from *that* breakup WHICH I DO NOT WANT.

SPN roxxors, especially Dean and Castiel. This season is made of epic win.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks 22x05 or 06 (whatevs) WAS MADE OF 57 FLAVOURS OF AWESOME. SPECIAL MENTION TO THE HILARIOUSNESS OF GERMAINE GREER, JAMES CORDEN AND THE MIGHTY CARDIGAN. It made me totally forget about my rage towards the Russell Brand censure.

Beautiful People 104/105. Posh Spice doll and Lady Di. SERIOUSLY. The fact that [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy and I seem to be the only ones watching this show is beyond me. It honestly is the best new series of the year ! It has heart, hilarious characters and situations, 1997 period reconstitution, awesome singing and dancing, fabulousness AND NOT TO FORGET MY FAVOURITE HISTORY BOY. You *have* to watch it, why aren't you watching it ??

GO GIRLFRIEND ! ♥

I've also watched two new brit series this week :

The first two episodes of Little Dorrit which I'm loving so far.
I started for the delightful miss Freema Agyeman in the first place (and she is adorable and a bit bonkers but most importantly, an awesome victorian lesbian ! *___*) but the rest of the cast is also good. Matthew Mc Fadyen is all blue eyes and still makes woobie faces like a pro, Russell Tovey is made of Kittens, Eve Myles makes retarded look adorable and Andy Serkis creeps the hell out of me and I love him for it. I was a bit disappointed that Freema and her Epic Lesbian Love Story wasn't part of episode 2 but the loveliness of the rest made up for it.

I'm also following Dead Set since I'm a sucker for Zombie flicks. The first 10 minutes were boring as hell but once they got started it was FTW and I've been hooked these past few days. Zombie stories are ALWAYS the same but I'm never ever tired of it, don't ask me why ! The utter crackiness of having it mixed with big brother makes some moments priceless (I was sold at the zombie massacre set to Mika's Grace Kelly XD). I cannot wait to see the last episode which airs tonight, it's been a lot of fun.

Tomorrow I'm meeting with [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall and [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy for Quantum of Solace and tomorrow night it's Merlin Party at Cath's place. Since 107 looks full of Arthur and Epic Slash, I really can't wait. It will be the first time we watch a Merlin episode between fangirls <3

At which time do you guys gather tomorrow? I'm v. tempted!

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
OH HAI ! We meet up a bit early (11h50 Pyramides) because we're going at the 13pm showing.

[identity profile] tya-rc.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
11h50? That's quite precise, eh!

And I've just made up my mind: I'll be there. MAINLY BECAUSE THERE ARE THINGS I NEED TO TALK ABOUT. And by 'talk' I mean 'squee insanely', so be prepared!

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
You know what I think about squeeing with you right ?

LOLOL I wonder what the subject of squee will be.

SEE YOU TOMORROW DARLING.

Your wishlist for Eleven is full of win! If Jack Davenport gets the part, can I be his assistent?

James Corden on Buzzcocks was made of so much win!

Aw, I have to wait another week for Quantum of Solace :(

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee thanks for agreeing ^^

He definitely made me laugh hard !

Bummer *hugs*

[identity profile] sparklingjill.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
:p No problem. It's the truth, after all. I mean, how great would Fry be?

He's so cuddly!

*hugs* I so want it to be next Friday...

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
He would be mighty great indeed !

I would just be *thrilled* to see him face a Dalek, it would be glorious *_*

[identity profile] sparklingjill.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
He would exterminate them...

with knowledge!

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG AND THEN MY LIFE WOULD BE COMPLETE BECAUSE IT WOULD BE TEH ORSUM TO END ALL ORSUM.

[identity profile] sparklingjill.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
That's it- I'm starting a campaigne- Stephen Fry for Eleven! Alan Davies could be his companion!

WINNN!!!

[identity profile] bingbulette.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! The mighty cardigan made me forget my rage as well! 100% A++ episode!

And the last episode of HIMYM ended so omgwtf-ish, that I was super excited to download this week's show only to realize that there wasn't any. Cry cry cry. :(

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That cardigan will become LEGENDARY :D

INORITE I was so *excited* to see a stella free episode and then I was DENIED.

[identity profile] bingbulette.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! Stella-dislikers of this world unite!!!! \o/

[identity profile] sgkoneko.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree with the top four of your Eleven list.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks 22x05 or 06 (whatevs) WAS MADE OF 57 FLAVOURS OF AWESOME. SPECIAL MENTION TO THE HILARIOUSNESS OF GERMAIN GREER, JAMES CORDEN AND THE MIGHTY CARDIGAN. It made me totally forget about my rage towards the Russell Brand censure.

It was AWESOME.

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Honestly, the top 4 is WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT.

WAS !

[identity profile] curedlullaby.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Awesome list is awesome. Add Hugh Laurie to it and it's practically identical to mine.

I'm also completely excited about the next Merlin. After seeing that preview, my slash-o-meter is alllll the way in the red zone. \o/

[identity profile] rosengirl.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL I almost added him but I realized that I was too attached to House to see it end just yet (so metaphorically speaking, he is on it XD)

MAH MERLIN GLEE : LET ME SHOW U IT.

WHEEEEEEEEEE I LOVE SATURDAYS !!1

[identity profile] curedlullaby.livejournal.com 2008-10-31 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's probably just that in my mind, Hugh Laurie is awesome enough to be in two places at the same time. xD

MERLIN OWNS MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.

I'm sure you're going to love it and it will succeed to put a gigantic smile on your face :D

Well hating us all is not accurate since it was Tya's original idea and she can't come in the end because she works and ephyse does too.

So you can redirect your hate on cath, cook and I but be informed that we have planned to do another one for the finale and a Merlin drinking game, so you'll have the chance to participate in the future ^^

[identity profile] thedarkevilone.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
I LOVE YOU - almost all of those blokes are my choices for Eleven as well!! *glomp*

[identity profile] ephyse.livejournal.com 2008-11-01 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
You're kidding right??
I'm a BIG fan of Beautiful People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sea_thoughts: Ruby in *The Legend of Ruby Sunday* (DWBye To Fat - tenfeethigh)

[personal profile] sea_thoughts 2008-11-01 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
The writers said they're aiming to have THREE series for A2A so I doubt Phil will be the Doctor. Shame, he would be interesting, and SUCH a change from David. I do love my gruff Northerners. 0:)

I'm watching Beautiful People! On and off. I do like it, but it's just not that gripping personally. *shrug* I love all the 90s nostalgia, especially as I was 15 in 1997 and so quite close to Simon in terms of world view, but... eh.

Paterson Joseph! He's amazing!

Have you ever read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman?

Little Dorrit is amazing. So good to see Matthew McFadyen back on our screens in a leading role. I loved his Mr. Darcy and I love his Arthur. And yes, Freema is very good, though I am rather worried about her being typecast as "lovely girl who is put upon by all and sundry". Eve Myles, though, what a revelation! Truly adorable! :) Anyway, she does have the mentality of a ten-year-old, that's pretty good. Better than some adults!
