rosengirl: (Matthew Goode : class you has it)
HOW ON EARTH DO I ONLY FIND OUT NOW THAT MATTHEW GOODE AND RUSSELL TOVEY WERE IN A FILM TOGETHER ??

AKA MY FAMILY AND OTHER ANIMALS

AND THAT THEY SEEM TO BE PLAYING BROTHERS OMFG !!!

Brought randomly to my attention by this delightful batch of icons.

I NEED TO SEE THIS LIKE YESTERDAY.
rosengirl: (Being Human : George/Mitchell sofa <3)
THE FINALE WAS SO INCREDIBLY PERFECT THAT I HAVE TEARS OF PURE JOY IN MY EYES.

I have rarely seen a show being able to maintain such a high level of quality from beginning to end.

As I watched )

Now if it were any other show I would be worried about an obligatory loss of quality after such an outstanding series, but in this case I am willing to put my blind trust in their hands.

BRING ON SERIES 2 and 3, 4, 5, 6...
rosengirl: (Being Human : 3 as 1 - lost & alone)
OH MY FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being Human 105 - Comments as I watched )

OMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SCARED SHITLESS FOR THE LAST EPISODE.

OMFG. *can't breathe*
rosengirl: (Being Human : Mitchell&Annie&the telly)
I JUST.

THIS SHOW KILLS ME WITH AMAZINGNESS.

IT IS SURPRISINGLY ALWAYS INCREASING IN QUALITY EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

MADE OF PUPPIES AND RAINBOWS ONE MINUTE AND INCREDIBLY DARK AND VIOLENT THE NEXT.

IT'S DARING, IT HAS INTELLIGENT WRITING AND CHARACTERS ENDLESSLY FASCINATING.

Oh and I want a Mitchell of my own, kthx.

some specifics )

I couldn't be happier with the show. Next week looks YET AGAIN, 57 flavours of A-MA-ZING.
rosengirl: (DW : Ten/Donna it broke my hearts)
So I'll get this out of the way since everyone and their dogs are talking about it.

My Eleven Wishlist :

- Philip Glenister (if A2A stopped after the next series it could happen and I want it so damn hard !)
- David Morrissey (I know it's so in our face that it's not likely but I can't rule it out because it would be hilarous if that was actually it)
- Dylan Moran
- Stephen Fry
- James Nesbitt
- Julian Barratt (it's my list I put who I want *sticks tongue*)
- Jack Davenport (mostly for eyecandy reasons I admit)
- Julian Rhind-Tutt (I know I'm saying this over one guest stint on Merlin but he would totally pull it off)
- Russell Brand... No I'm joking. No. Really, I'm joking. Hahaha. *clears throat*

I've heard about the Paterson Joseph rumours but I have no opinion since I've never seen him in something. Maybe he would be a better choice because I didn't know Tennant or Eccleston before they got the part either.

I thought I was taking the news about Tennant leaving relatively well except that I discovered that I can't watch a Ten songvid without wanting to cry right now. Eh.

As for this week's teevee watching (in short)

The last 2 Pushing Daisies delivered their usual dose of happy happy. I love that show and its adorableness. However I don't think I would terribly miss it if it was cancelled because as much as I enjoy what I see, I have zero investment in it. But it is absolutely cute and good natured and I love Lee Pace like pie <3

Chuck now has Buster in it and it is even more AWESOME. Buster !

No HIMYM this week and it BLOWS.

House... needs a cut. )

The Office and Ugly Betty were doing fine this week. Well, apart from *that* breakup WHICH I DO NOT WANT.

SPN roxxors, especially Dean and Castiel. This season is made of epic win.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks 22x05 or 06 (whatevs) WAS MADE OF 57 FLAVOURS OF AWESOME. SPECIAL MENTION TO THE HILARIOUSNESS OF GERMAINE GREER, JAMES CORDEN AND THE MIGHTY CARDIGAN. It made me totally forget about my rage towards the Russell Brand censure.

Beautiful People 104/105. Posh Spice doll and Lady Di. SERIOUSLY. The fact that [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy and I seem to be the only ones watching this show is beyond me. It honestly is the best new series of the year ! It has heart, hilarious characters and situations, 1997 period reconstitution, awesome singing and dancing, fabulousness AND NOT TO FORGET MY FAVOURITE HISTORY BOY. You *have* to watch it, why aren't you watching it ??

GO GIRLFRIEND ! ♥

I've also watched two new brit series this week :

The first two episodes of Little Dorrit which I'm loving so far.
I started for the delightful miss Freema Agyeman in the first place (and she is adorable and a bit bonkers but most importantly, an awesome victorian lesbian ! *___*) but the rest of the cast is also good. Matthew Mc Fadyen is all blue eyes and still makes woobie faces like a pro, Russell Tovey is made of Kittens, Eve Myles makes retarded look adorable and Andy Serkis creeps the hell out of me and I love him for it. I was a bit disappointed that Freema and her Epic Lesbian Love Story wasn't part of episode 2 but the loveliness of the rest made up for it.

I'm also following Dead Set since I'm a sucker for Zombie flicks. The first 10 minutes were boring as hell but once they got started it was FTW and I've been hooked these past few days. Zombie stories are ALWAYS the same but I'm never ever tired of it, don't ask me why ! The utter crackiness of having it mixed with big brother makes some moments priceless (I was sold at the zombie massacre set to Mika's Grace Kelly XD). I cannot wait to see the last episode which airs tonight, it's been a lot of fun.

Tomorrow I'm meeting with [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall and [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy for Quantum of Solace and tomorrow night it's Merlin Party at Cath's place. Since 107 looks full of Arthur and Epic Slash, I really can't wait. It will be the first time we watch a Merlin episode between fangirls <3
rosengirl: (Being Human : George/Mitchell)
I'm just popping by to point out this other fantastic news :

BEING HUMAN HAS BEEN PICKED UP !

This means more Russell Tovey and more hawt supernatural domesticity. George/Mitchell FTW. WOOT ! \o/
rosengirl: (DW : Ten nonoyes <3)
Look at Ten's little expressive face in my icon !!1!!11!ELEVENTY!!1

I just rewatched The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit and I really love them. Series 2 is pretty weak compared to 1 and 3 for me but there's still some very good episodes in it (Girl In The Fireplace <3).
I adore how DT acted his wee heart out against nothing in the scene with the beast.
I must also say that I love Rose in this one because she's adorable with the Doctor and actually very useful. Rewatching series 2, her smugness annoyed me most of the time (Tooth and Claw, School reunion, the cybermen episodes and the Idiot's Lantern) but in these two she's just great like she was in series 1.

Now we'll have to speed up this Nu Who marathon a bit or we'll never have finished for the start of series 4.

I saw [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall, [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy, [livejournal.com profile] daiyaa and [livejournal.com profile] ephyse yesterday and it's been ages for the last two so it was ORSUM to see them and be able to squee live with them about Torchwood and team Barratt/Fielding (they're going to see them live a month before us *shakes fist*).

(And just a second ago I had to stop writing because [livejournal.com profile] ephyse phoned me to squee her head off over Julian Barratt's unbearable hotness as Dan Ashcroft in Nathan Barley. GAH ILU HON *clings*)

We saw Run Fatboy Run and it was, as expected, loltastic ! Simon Pegg made a brilliant loser and Dylan Moran still is filthy bastardous love <3
We were both dying of teh laugh and squeeing at the slash. And I loved the David Walliams and Stephen Merchant cameos which were for the win.

I also watched Ashes to Ashes 105 last night and it was terribly funny, for the most part anyway.
