Doctor Who 403 - Planet of the Ood

It was so nice to watch it with a fellow fangirl <3



Series 4 is surprising the hell out of me, because it was supposed to be lighter but the start (minus PiC) so far is way more dark than the beginning of series 3.

Donna is unbelievable. The only word that come to mind to describe her is 'magnificent'. She had lots of great moments but my two favourites definitely were :

Her first meeting with the dying Ood (OMG when she tried to speak in the translator XD) where she was horrified at first but quickly showed compassion.
The cheap shots exchange with the Doctor because it will never get old to see her pwning him.

And I love Ten and Donna's dynamic beyond reason, it's the best thing Nu Who ever gave us.

I've had two unexpected schmexxy moments :

- Ten sprawled out on the floor, panting, when the big claw stopped chasing him. OMG YES PLZ.
- The sexy mind!secks performed on Donna ! Yes, what followed was sad but I will never get tired of seeing those lovely long fingers rubbing against someone's... Temples. :p

The ice planet was stunningly beautiful, so was the Ood song <3

And there's still mentions of bees disappearing, hum...

I loved the Ood and I loved how their story turned out. The brain in the palm of their hand was... Eerie. They're great because they're so very alien.

The big brain and the man turning into an ood was disgusting, lovely gruesome fx there lol.

I loved the reflection on slavery and the overall melancholy of the story.

Every song must end.
I found the foreshadowing of this series awfully grim so far. I wasn't reassured by "you have something on your back" from last week but I'm really starting to worry now.

Now, you can't imagine the shriek of pure glee I let out when the first shot of next week's trailer was MAH MARFA PHONING THE DOCTOR WHILE LOOKING DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

The weekend with angeliksmall was made of win (it's not really finished because she's in the kitchen right now).

We watched tons of awesome stuff :

- The fires of Pompeii (with the bro, who hadn't seen it yet).
- Series 2 of the IT Crowd (she fell a little bit in love)
- The Doctor Who CiN concert (to prepare ourselves for july XD)
- The Mighty Boosh night (live links + documentary)
- 2 episodes from series 1 of the Catherine Tate Show
- Some Doctor/Master bits from Claws of Axos and The Sea Devils <3
- The pilot of Secret Diary of a Call Girl (it still boggles the mind to see how hot Billie can look in this when it's rather the opposite in DW.)
- DW 403, obviously.
- A DW fanvid while we were waiting for the DWC which made us die of laughing because it kept freezing on the Doctor/Master bits XD
- The confidential ! Which dled so fast we were able to see it almost right after the episode ! (and the main comment watching it was a chorus of "Dave is so hot" *are 12*)

We also played guitar hero and a silly dance game which made us all sweaty XD.

And we're going to finish on DT's first FNP to end on some moar squee <333
