I went to The Wombats concert last night in Paris with
jedicathy,
angeliksmall and the Bro AND IT WAS MADE OF EPIC WIN.
The guest band playing before them looked and acted like retards but their music was good. The drummer looked so autistic when he played that it was distracting as hell and I was bursting out laughing every now and then XD
Then the Wombats came and did their awesome album intro a capella before starting the concert with Patricia the Stripper. They played all the songs from A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation and a brand new brilliant one just as bouncy as the rest. The crowd was great and just the right amount of wild. They set it on fire at multiple times and we particulary bounced, danced and sang like crazy during Kill the Director, Let's Dance to Joy Division, My First Wedding and Backfire at the Disco. I'm still sore as I'm writing this.
There was a hilarious giant inflated Wombat with sunglasses on the left of the stage and they switched on disco balls during Backfire at the Disco which was the very last song they played. I'm quite fond of the drummer and his cute french speaking skills (which weren't bad at all ! Unlike the singer lol).
It's such a joyful band ! I really like that they're so upbeat and felt very happy by the end even if I was also knackered.
