Japan Expo

So yesterday I went to the Japan Expo, it's this big Anime/Manga convention happening every year near Paris.
I haven't been in 3 years because I lost interest in those things but this year a professor of mine could get us in for free because he was doing a conference so I decided to go with a school friend.
I was there for 3 reasons : I wanted to say hi to
sambre because I hadn't seen her in ages, I wanted to start giving my CV to some of the publishing houses here and I wanted to check out the new comic con part because Jamie Bamber was a guest for the first edition.
All three went really well. We stayed a bit for my professor's presentation to cheer him on when it was his turn to speak, I got to chat and squee with sambre about various fannish things, 6 publishing houses accepted my CV and I finally found where Jamie Bamber was hidden in this godforsaken gigantic place.
The "french comic con" part was ridiculously tiny and ten times less crowded than the rest of the con which meant, to my delight, that we were only three at the time to see Jamie.
There were no security guys to move us along and you could basically come up to him and chat for as long as you wished. We got to chat 5 minutes because I'm always awkward in those situations but he was extremely nice and his blue eyes drilled holes into my skull. We talked (in french since he's fluent) about the BSG event held in Paris last april, which we both really enjoyed, and I once again said that I really liked him as Matt in Law & Order UK. I told him that it's not my usual kind of show but that I found the stories very gripping and interesting. He said with a smirk that it wasn't his kind of show either which made me laugh.
Then I felt bold enough to tell him that I started watching mostly for Freema and he made this 'oh right' face at me, smiled and said "très jolie fille" (very pretty girl). I started grinning like a loon and hold myself from shouting "DUDE INORITE I AM SO GAY FOR HER YOU HAVE NO IDEA" and said "ooooooh yes" instead. He then signed my BSG s3 boxset and my friend took a pic with his hotness hovering over me and the table.

We then continued to walk through the huge crowd and the unbearable heat until we found some junk to buy. I got myself a bag, two keychains and a phone charm and I was proud not to give in and buy a manga.
We crossed this awesome dude cosplayed as Rorschach and I asked Adeline to take his picture because despite the fact that he was surely half dead in his costume, he looked completely fierce.

I found it amusing that he was hanging out with the Joker and Beatrix Kiddo XD
