Teh Jansis in Paris aka Best. Day. Ever.

rosengirlUnsurprisingly enough, yesterday was THE GREATEST DAY IN THE HISTORY OF EVER. I waited 8 months for this and I'm so glad that it even exceeded my expectations. And I didn't even make a fool of myself so it was pretty awesomesauce from begining to end.
Jake Silbermann and Van Hansis. Sigh. They're even sweeter, dorkier, funnier and more stupifyingly gorgeous in person. It's like I had so much love for them before even meeting them but now everything is amplified by a billion.

Meet & Greet : the only 'negative' aspect that I must talk about first is the fact that the venue had no AC and it was about 40 degrees inside ! Only, it meant that we had sweaty boys (and yah, we were all sweaty too, the photoshoots were fun XD) which was kinda the opposite of bad. Also it rained later in the afternoon during the break and both boys rushed past us to go outside to get under the rain and cool off a bit before the shoots with sweaty peeps. So they stayed with us for that break (while getting wet) *HEARTS*
So the boys arrived for the meet & greet (which lasted one hour) andfairy_bliss and I started dying of (mostly) internal squee and never ceased since. We kept grabbing each others arms and pinching or exchanging gleeful looks the whole day, it was EPIC. So I was uber shy at first and totally starstruck. I managed to shake hands with Jake and talk to him a little. I was less nervous with him because I'm more of a Van girl (even if I love them both something fierce). However, he managed to kill me a little because he didn't let go of my hand for forever because he had trouble catching my name so he bent over me and kept looking straight at me with his very very blue eyes while I was saying it more slowly. And ended up repeating it and saying 'oh it's a very beautiful name' hm OKAY THEN SILBERMANN *thud* (my name is Amandine btw, oh hai).
But Van, for the life of me, I never managed to have the nerve to introduce myself to him. Cath and Galouz kept urging me to do it because they did but I just couldn't and their urging had the opposite effect of stressing me more. I mean, it was TEH VAN HANSIS. So I only managed to approach him, take pictures and hear others talk to him but by that time I wasn't comfortable enough (but of course, as the day went by I relaxed considerably and ended up asking him the silliest things by the time of the photoshoot).
Q&A : WIN OF EPIC PROPORTION. It lasted 2 hours but it felt more like 20 minutes. I would have loved to sit through 8 hours of just this. Like last year, everything has been filmed so it will surely pop up on YT soon enough. They talked about the end of the show's run and it was quite bittersweet. Obviously they were asked about the end and couldn't spoil anything but the fact that they said that they were happy with it spoke volumes imho *smirk*
They did a new scene in french, like last year, and OMFG it was even more hilarious ! Everyone cracked up, including Van who made fun of him, when Jake started to say Docteur Olivier ! GAWD LOLZ. And I'm still not over hearing live NoahJake say je t'aime to Luke Van.
When asked if it was hard to say goodbye to Luke and Noah and not work with each other on a daily basis anymore, Van said that they would still have their friendship and that it was much more fun to hang out with each other than being on set as Luke and Noah anyway (I hope I remember this right but it was around those lines, I was quite busy flailing wildly at that moment).
Most of the Q&A was about their other projects (Van was asked about Occupant and Jake about Stuffer, quite obviously) and their feelings and hopes for the future. They are happy and excited for what will come next. And they would love to work with each other again and they really seemed to want to make it happen. I feel like whatever they'll end up doing, I'll never stop supporting them because they deserve it so so much. I've rarely felt this attached to actors and I think it's because it goes beyond the admiration I have for what they do and more due to the fact that they truly are awesome human beings.
They had another round of 'have you ever' and a hilarious game of Truth or Dare, which was a really good idea. Amongst other things, Jake had to sing a french song, remove an item of clothing and Van had to draw himself and do impressions of colleagues (he did HILARIOUS ones of Carly and Alex Chando. BWAHAHA OH VAN <3).
Raffles and Auctions lasted around 1h30 when it was supposed to take a hour and it was SO MUCH FUN !
Galouz, Cath and me all bought raffle tickets in the morning without thinking much of it and Galouz and I both managed to win something !
It was really weird because she's a Jake girl and as it happened, Van picked my number and 2 raffle prizes later, Jake picked hers /OMGFATE.
I won a Java mug signed by Jake, Van, Eric and (lolrandom) Lesli Kay. They auctioned another identical one afterwards which was won for 100 euros ! (mine cost me a 1 euro ticket XD).
When I went to the stage to pick it up (from Van's hands) Jake said to me jokingly you better use this for the rest of your life now. I lol'ed and said suuuuuuuure.
Galouz won a beautiful signed pic of the 2009 emmys and almost fell over when she was making her way through the seated people to pick it up :p

The raffle for both Noah and Luke's shirts were won by the same girl (who was sweet enough to offer the Noah shirt to her friend) which was funny and amazing because Jake picked one of her ticket and Van picked the other ! That's incredible luck indeed.
The auctions started slowly (a Luke stripped shirt was won for only 80 euros) at first and then people got batshit cray cray and things like a "Nuke book" with pics (that anyone can get for free on the internet) which told the storyline in chronological order was won for 600 euros ! A Jake shirt went for 400 euros and scripts went very pricey too. The whole room was laughing and Jake and Van pulled lolarious incredulous faces.

Was very lovely and relaxed, boys were goofballs and got a ton of gifts during the autograph session. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
The photoshoot session is when I went really bold and thought what the hell, so I ended up asking for hugs and dorky pics with goofy faces.

This, made me feel wonderful. I'm okay with the storyline (only, more Noah please! *makes grabby hands*) and I've always been an optimistic Nuke endgamer, but this just makes me feel so so good about the end of the show.
