rosengirlOf course the first thing I would do when I got home was catching up with this week's teevee.
So I did, starting with Torchwood because I couldn't wait to see a certain someone back.
Oh no wait, that's not entirely true. The first thing I did last night was to jump on my Mighty Boosh series 3 dvds to watch the extras and...
THE HUGS ! THE LOOKS ! NOEL SAYING THAT THEY KISSED LOTS OF TIMES BEFORE BUT THAT HE WAS TRYING NOT TO TOTALLY TONGUE JULIAN BECAUSE HE WAS SICK AND DIDN'T WANT TO PASS IT ON DURING THE SHOOTING OF 'THE PARTY' SNOG !
OMG THEIRLOVEISSOLOVELEY *passes out*

th_esaurus did some very pretty Noel/Julian art that I had to pimp.
Back to this week's teevee :
Torchwood 205 - Adam
The overall story was a bit cliché but I loved the effects on the characters.
Wee Blythe gave a WONDERFUL performance as Adam, proving once more that the guests are extremely well chosen this series.
Murderer!Ianto was all kinds of wrong which of course translated in my mind as SMOKING HOT ZOMG, especially the bit where he holds his second victim's face close to his when he kills her *purrs*
GDL did an astounding job in the lie detector scene, I was biting my nails !
My second most favourite thing was Owen all geekified which was beyond cute ! I about died of laughing when he made his declaration to Tosh. I adore what they're doing with Owen and Ianto this year.
A friend told me beforehand that JB's acting was over the top in this and I'm sad to say that I agree. Jack didn't move me once and I wasn't impressed nor convinced by the Grey plot in itself. It' s pretty lame and disappointing imho. The boeshane peninsula was lovely though.
Weirly enough, Jack kissing Ianto on the forehead killed me DEADER than any of their previous snogs. I'm not sure why, but I really felt my insides melt at that moment.
And the diary thing was hilarious XD Ianto and his comedic timing is still the best thing evar.
Torchwood 206 - Reset
OH BOY WAS MARTHA TEH ULTIMATE ORSUM OR WHAT.
She's more confident and sexy than ever and works great within the Torchwood environment.
I loved every minute of her on screen and my favourite parts have to be when Jack and her talk about the Doctor and her scene with Ianto when she reveals herself as a fellow slasher ! <3333333
The story and the FX were great, as was Bradford Mead playing the vilain of the week.
'Yeah, I had a bad experience with a politician recently.' JACK DID A MISTER MASTAR REFERENCE TEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !
I ADORED the Owen/Tosh scene. Owen finished to won my heart, something fierce.
So this is why I was quite surprised when my former Owen hater status resurfaced to make me feel a little satisfied when he got killed. I still love him right now but this and the perspective of seeing him getting an autopsy by Martha didn't hurt one bit, on the contrary *feels bad*. Aw Owen, it's not like I'm worrying that much about your future in the show anyway.

My level of love for this show is impossibly high, it's just so *SO* good !
Maxxie owns me like nobody's business and his gorgeousness continues to blow me away. I loved the dance scene in the church but the one on the roof is just OMFG AMAZING ! Bill Bailey rules and I loved all of their scenes together. Maxxie's protectiveness towards Tony was too sweet for words *clings hard*
Nicolas Hoult's acting was stunning in this episode and I was hurting and getting frustrated for Tony so damn much. Especially when he was asking for Sid over and over again. In fact, Tony and Maxxie both remembered me of Justin from QaF (Tony trying to hold his pen and write, Maxxie getting harassed by homophobes and finishing by having his way with one).

Chris and Jal were lovely too and Anwar's new look made me die of lolz XD
Ashes to Ashes 102
Everything about that show cracks me up : Alex's clothes, the music, Alex and Gene's banter and the parodic cheesy tone.
I love that Alex has a completely detached behaviour about everything that's happening, she's allowed more fun than Sam.
Episode 2 and I'm still in love with it, I think I'm sold for the rest of the series <3
I'm still 2 episodes behind with spn and 4 with sv. But that's it for now.

on 2008-02-19 07:57 am (UTC)I wasn't very fond of skins at the beginning because all the characters were unlikeable at first sight. Except that it grew on me very fast and that I was loving them all when I reached the end of the first series. It's a brilliant show, not just in a trash provocative way.
Hope you get your Boosh fix soon ! *hugs*
