That fangirl's gathering ? WAS TOTALLY MADE OF PURE WIN.

We didn't sleep at all (except for angeliksmall who abandoned us at 1 pm because she has NO STAMINA) so I'm pretty knackered right now but almost too much to actually go to bed XD

Last night's DW got various reactions from the group and while it was slightly less awesome than the last two, I liked it a lot.


I was a little worried that Helen Raynor wrote this one but it turned out much MUCH better than Daleks in Manhattan.

MARTHA'S RETURN WAS FABULOUS AND EVEN EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS \o/
She was all wise and mature and kicking arse... Until she fell into the sontaran's trap but I didn't mind because HELLO THAR EVIL!CLONE MARTHA. YOU IS V. V. V. HOT.
I *adored* her interactions with the Doctor. There was a nice dose of awkwardness at first, arguing and happiness to just be together again.
And I loved how Donna and her just clicked instantly and how she ended up giving her advice.
UNIT on the other hand, didn't do much for me in this which was disappointing, if not very unexpected. Hope it'll get better in the next one, though.
My favourite scene is definitely the exchange between Donna and the Doctor when he thought she was leaving for good XDDD He's SUCH a drama queen.
We had lots of great character moments but very little plot. It was just a set up for part 2. But those character moments totally made it worth.
The sontarans looked even sillier than their old school selves but you can give RTD credits for respecting a lot of the original stuff like their weapons, the design of their pods and the vent at the base of the neck.
Loved the little stunt with the tennis ball that the Doctor pulled off btw, that was so cool XD
The episode was over very quickly and I was quite frustrated by the time of the cliffhanger. So it was either a hit with me or I felt this way because the proper plot never developed in the first part and I kept on waiting for it to do so.

ANYWAY, I LIKED IT OVERALL.

EDIT : Yeah well UNIT did a little for me afterall because yes, I wouldn't mind some Doctor/Ross fics either like, AT ALL. *NOMS*

Freema was also adorable in the confidential <3

No, rather the fact that I was all 'Wut? WUT? WUUUUUUUT?!!!111!!' at the end of the episode.

And despite the harsh reviews I saw elsewhere, I'm with you on the squee factor : I quite like this one. Far more than I expected, actually! And Ten/Ross FOR THE FUCKING WIN. <33333

I saw mixed reviews, it was rather a 'hit or miss' episode.
I aknowledged the weaknesses but it didn't outweight the great character scenes.

I'm happy you liked it since you were all 'DOES NOT WANT' before it aired ^^

ROSS NEEDS TO STICK AROUND. I'm waiting part 2 to see if it would be useless to upload my Ten/Ross icon XD

I can't believe I'm saying this, but what I thought was my favorite part of the episode was a Donna moment (because I hated her with a passion, but she's grown on me a LOT!):

"And I'll take a salute."

It's now my second favorite because...

"It's you!"
"Oh, you!"
"What, you two have met?!"
*Doctor and Gramps shake hands*
"Oh, alien hand!"

I just &hearts Gramps with everything I have and they better not off him...

Yes but Martha went to that woman for the purpose of being sold out. So it's not his fault. He is a kind of meh character in my view though.
("And I'll take a salute." :D i love it. I would have loved it even more if Martha had encouraged him to salute with an expression, but i suppose he is her superior officer so..)

Merci encore pour ce we^^ C'est vraiment sympa (même si je ressens encore les affres de la nuit blanche LOL).

Pour ce qui est de DW, j'attends le prochain pour pouvoir me prononcer. (mais j'ai beaucoup aimé le retour de Martha. Elle rocks)

BTW, on a commencé les Black Books (la saison 1 est done), et c'est génial!! Par contre ton dvd (le un, je ne sais pas pour les autres on ne les a pas encore essayé) a un gros problème. Je ne sais pas si tu l'as déjà regardé, mais on a dû arrêté de le regarder sur le lecteur dvd et le mettre sur pc parce que c'était impossible de le regarder avec. LE menu marche pas et le dvd passe son temps à faire des arrêts/reprises de qq secondes :S :S

Je suis vraiment contente que vous ayez ttes pu venir et je le suis encore plus qu'on en ait vraiment profité A FOND <3

On en a parlé avec Galouz et Cathy et il faut ABSOLUMENT qu'on essaye de se refaire ça pour le finale cette année. Ce serait tellement EPIC que je n'ose même pas imaginer ! Donc faudra se libérer la date pour aller squatter chez Cathy (en plus elle c bien elle les a en 20 minutes XD).

J'ai quand même bien apprécié le DW malgré ses défauts, ça reste un bon épisode pour une saison hyper solide(je sens déjà que la 3 ne vas pas rester en 1ère place bien longtemps ...)

Et apparemment, Chris de skins joue dans celui de dans 2 semaines (The Doctor's Daughter)! *SQUEE*

Je n'avais pas encore testé les dvd de blackbooks non -_- glad que vous aimiez, though ^^

I loved it so much! And Martha even more if that's possible! Looking fierce and friendly- i'm so glad that she is still the old Martha at heart. And thank god that she and Donna clicked! That was my one major desire and i just flailed with joy the whole way through their meeting!

And the Doctor was hilarious this episode! All the scenes in the Rattican Academy were great. (incl. tennis ball powaz! :D)

And they kinda teamed up against the Doctor at the beginning, which was even MOAR FTW.
I had no doubts that I would enjoy her return but the fervour of my Martha squee always take me by surprise, especially when there was also Donna's distracting awesomeness this time around.

Ah yes, Ten was especially babbling and bouncy this week. (YES ! I love it when he demonstrates his amazing aiming powers of win)

oh YES! I'm so expecting them to be an awesome team by the end of next episode or else.. or else they had better be an awesome team by the end of the episode after that! And if not by the end of that episode then i will just weep and read Martha/Donna fics to comfort myself.

Aiming powers and geeky powers! I bet DT was pleased he got to use his glasses/spectacles so much this episode.
