I swear I will make an entry about my week of fannish glee, I'm still downloading the pics the girls took and since I don't want to make 6416763 picspams, it will have to wait :D

Turns out the article I linked in my last post may possibly be complete tabloid rubbish because no other report mentioned it. That would restore my faith in humanity. A bit.
I went to the cinema with
jedicathy and
angeliksmall today.
We saw Wall E and it was much as expected, to die of teh cute & adorableness.
My favourite scene was when Wall E and Eve chased each other in space with the fire extinguisher <333333
I also saw In Bruges again and am still madly in love with it. Hitmen love stories FTW <3
The Dark Knight comes out on wednesday in France but we already saw it last week with the girls when we were in birmingham. Will I give my reaction away if I say that I want to see it again SO BAD. No see, I was sick as hell last tuesday night and I really would like to see it again with a clear head.
I found it awfully long but it didn't bore me one second. I LOVED the vilains story. I didn't doubt that Ledger would be good but after all the fuss I feared that he would not live up to it. Well, I was wrong because he completely blew me the fuck away. His Joker is fascinating and off the scale creepy. Aaron Eckhart was also fantastic as Harvey Dent, great choice of casting.
Too bad Christian Bale wasn't in the same league as the rest of the cast, you can't even tell he's supposed to be the lead actor of the film. I guess it's more difficult when you can act only one expression and you don't have Katie Holmes to make you look better at acting by comparison anymore (I like Christian Bale, I don't hold it against him that he can't really act because he's hot and I'm shallow. He should stop doing the dreadful Batman voice though because I've never heard something more irritating in my life. Fail !)
Tonight I saw the Last King of Scotland on dvd and what an amazing film !
James McAvoy waslovely, yummy, hotter than the burning of a thousand suns perfect, as usual but Forest Whitacker was just. Just OMG !! Incredible.
Some moments were really hard to watch but it's worth it. I love the way they shot Africa.
I must finish watching How I Met Your Mother season 1 now or
jedicathy will kick my arse tomorrow.

on 2008-08-12 08:40 am (UTC)MERCI POUR LE PICSPAM!!!!!!!!! *______*

on 2008-08-12 08:59 am (UTC)The Last King of Scotland m'a totalement retournée comme une crêpe !

on 2008-08-12 09:12 am (UTC)I need to see this film again.
And finally, somebody else who loves Wall-E! Hardly any of the people I know at work who've seen it (apart from my other two film buff friends) like it. HOW can they miss the quality of this film? *sigh*

on 2008-08-18 01:19 pm (UTC)At least the ending leads to think that the possible sequel might be focused on Batman again.
I highly recommend a second viewing yeah, because all the flaws I pointed out seemed less obvious the second time.
BUT WALL-E IS SUCH AN ADORABLE MOVIE !! How come they didn't leave the theater with a stupid smile on their faces ?? People have no feelings anymore :/

on 2008-08-18 05:44 pm (UTC)I hope so. Though if Johnny Depp ends up playing the Riddler and Angelina Jolie Catwoman, that might be difficult. (I don't want Angelina Jolie! >.< Don't want don't want don't want.)

Going to see it tomorrow. <33

I KNOW!! People just don't appreciate quality any more.
