The new pilot is AMAZING ! And that is saying something because I adored the original and was strongly opposed to the changes planned for the series.
But as it turns out, I liked everything better :
The new Annie is much more touching and the new Mitchell is less of a clichéand 10 times hotter, George is still killing me with woobie love. Their relationship was more interesting and I found them completely heartbreaking.
The story had a better structure and the pace was more dynamic.
I also spotted DW'Shakespeare in the preview of tonight's episode <3
If the rest is going to be remotely as good as this, I am definitely very excited for the series !

on 2009-02-02 12:38 am (UTC)But at least from the looks I liked old Mitchell better. That is to do with me being a very shallow human being and adoring Guy Flanagans hair.
But also because I think looks-wise the new Mitchell is actually more of a cliché than old Mitchell.
I can't tell if that opinion is also true for his character, aka the part that actual counts, because it's been too long. But if I remember correctly I'd say that character-wise they both aren't clichés. Which-- yay!
And I don't have any opinion on Annie, because they are completely different. In my head they are two completely different
personsghosts. o_OBut totally agreed on interesting relationship and them being completely heartbreaking. ♥

on 2009-02-02 09:03 pm (UTC)It's been long for me too ^^
I'm glad that they did something completely different with the new characters and I think that's the reason why I wasn't disappointed after all because it's like comparing apples and oranges now.
