I don't get it

Ah DW fandom.

There's a Martha vs Rose fan wank that is still going on and I still don't see the point.

I love Martha and I loved Rose, am I like the only one ? I don't get why Marthafen and Rosefen have to cancel each other out.
There's clearly some disturbed individuals who're giving both sides a bad image but I just find the whole thing... Pretty useless and silly.
I loved Rose but I dealt with the fact that she's gone and it's over, I'm not desperatly hoping for more Rose angst in series 4, because that's so not was the series 3 finale was about. That chapter has been closed and I'm fine with it.
I had a hard time seing Martha go but I'm not like madly hating the Doctor now or devastated by the fact that Doctor/Martha never happened in canon. I'm just excited to see the new directions they'll take with her character next year.
So that's where sometimes I don't understand the level of obsession over certain characters or pairings in fandom to the point that the rest should just not exist.
The whole thing is pretty amusing to follow but yeah... I don't see the point. Oh well.

Of course I may feel completely detached since for me the OTP of the show is Doctor/Marster, obviously. XD

GAH !! I just spoiled myself on probably the most important and shocking thing hapening in season 3 of the L Word.

I have 2 episodes left until the end of season 2 and I loved that season more than the first.

So I've been talking on the phone with angeliksmall and we realised that going to see John Simm play Elling is, in fact, achievable.

For one, I was totally sure that the play ended at the end of august but they're still playing until october 6. *slaps her bad fan self*

2. Beginning September 3 I won't be available during the week but there is performances on Saturday.

3. Paris-London : 3 hours. There's afternoon performances, which means that we can come and go back the same day and not worry about booking somewhere to stay at night. Plus it will be cheaper to take the Eurostar the same day.

4. I'm going to have my first salary at the end of September.

So seing John Simm next month ? Pfft actually EASAAAAY. *SQUEES*


Now we'd like to know who's interested so we can have an idea of how many people will come with us, chose a saturday and book the tickets quickly (FRONT ROW IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO KTHX).
