So yes, doctor who ! Not much to say about The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone apart from the fact that they may be some of my favourite who episodes ever and one of the best nu who two parter to date (like, second to TEC/TDD).

The series really hit third gear with these episodes. The doctor/companion dynamic is now well defined and works great, Matt's doctor is impressing me more and more and I loved to learn new bits and pieces about River's identity and the series arc.

ELEVEN *FLAILS WILDLY* IS CRAZY HOT. All that anger, frustration and vulnerability were very appealing to me. I love that this incarnation tends to lose it more quickly and easily.

The set design and FX were extremely great. I especially loved the whole forest at the heart of the spaceship idea and the shots on the beach.

I don't think River is either his wife and/or killed him because it's too simple and obvious. I love the mystery surrounding her and the fact that she's definitely dodgy. Most of all I love that the Doctor seems to really dig the fact that she may be Not Good at the end of the episode. BECAUSE WE KNOW HE LOVES THEM BEST WHEN THEY'RE BAD, TRUFAX.

OH AND THE SERIES ARC OMG. I squealed when he mentioned The Next Doctor because it means that some of the Specials'plot holes may be resolved after all, and I always love good continuity. Speaking of Eleven's gleeful "Time can be rewritten" bit, during the (superb) forehead touching scene, Eleven is wearing a tweed jacket again. Cue to some great speculations about him being a future doctor here. I do suscribe to that theory, because as someone wrote :

This is definitely not a costume error. The entire TONE of that scene was different and did not fit with the episode. It wasn't just his bare arms (which the camera specifically did an upclose of as he grabbed Amy) or that he's wearing his jacket which the angels stole, but he also looked back, as if to make sure that nobody would see him. He was talking to Amy differently than himself from a few minutes before hand was.

This is timey wimey in action! And I think we'll see him dash off in a future episode to make this trip.

I rewatched the scene and it's exactly right. I just can't wait to see the whole picture, very much like with series 3 of Ashes to Ashes. MY SHOWS ARE SO CLEVER THIS YEAR.

Amy Pond continues to be fantastic and unexpected. She is truly my hero ! I thought that after all she went through during this, with the almost dying part and all she was damn right to demand a bit of stress relief from the doctor. And had he been the space slag that Ten was, he probably would not have protested one bit (then again I do think Eleven sorted her out in the Tardis when the credits rolled. Oh I ship it so hard.).

Next week's trailer got me very excited about Rory joining the Team Tardis. Gilbert with fangs VS Rory with broom is going to be hilarious.

Also also, you should all watch this series' Confidentials at all costs because every week :

MAZZA AND KAZZA ARE KEELING US WITH THEIR ADORBS.

I need to post about Kick-Ass and Iron Man 2 (which I saw) and my growing fascination with Johnny Weir but I'll save it for another post.
