magicallaw, here's a wonderful meme about that odd show I keep obsessing over.

1. it's a true institution. There's fans from 30 years back and I love the fact that it built up such a rich and complex universe over so many years. I'm only catching up now with the old series but I just adore that there's so much to explore and learn about, and it only gives more layers to the new series. Also, the old series has giggle worthy sets and costumes and I get an extra kick out of that. <3

2. The tenth Doctor *clings like woa* : he's my doctor. I worship every single part of him, the madness on his head passing for hair, the random ramblings, the glasses, the tight pinstripes suit, the chucks, the bounces, the skinniness, the sluttyness, the darkness, the emoness, the jackassness and teh Tennant (which was the first time I ever saw him in something... Well if Harry Potter doesn't count.). I'm relieved we have at least two ~~three~~ more years of Ten ahead of us.

3. The companions are the heart of the show. I have different degrees of affection for Martha, Jack, Donna, Rose, Mickey, Turlough, Romana, Sarah Jane, Jo, Tegan, Adric and Nissa but in the end I enjoyed watching them all in their exciting adventures.

4. FREEMA AGYEMAN I AM GAY FOR YOU. GAY GAY GAY. You both look gorgeous and incredibly cute, you're a great actress and the companion you play is made of win.

5. Over 800 years of burning passion, hatred, angst, obsession and fucked up love across the stars between two renegade Time Lords once named Theta and Koschei.
BEST. EPIC LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP. EVER. It cannot be topped. Mind you, I happily ship Ten with pretty much everyone since HALO THAR SLUTBOI ALIEN TEASE, but this is the only OTP that exists for me in the series. I blame Simm!Master and Ten's barely subtextual UST first but it's been pretty much set in stone since I saw Three/Delgado!Master and Five/Ainley! Master in action. They weren't very subtle either. *LOVES*

6. The Master. Simm!Master PWNED everyone in 3 episodes. Hot. Camp. Crazy. Psycho. Impeccably dressed. Played by John Simm. Here, have the recipe of win. That being said, I also really like the Delgado version.

7. Series 3. It's the best of the new series for me. I have so much love for Smith and Jones, Gridlock, The Lazarus Experiment, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Blink, Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords. SO MUCH LOVE. I have rarely been so repeatedly blown away watching a season of any TV shows ever and my love for Doctor Who ended up impossibly stronger than it already was. It's been the darkest, slashiest and most epic series so far. But I'm also excited about the opposite direction they're taking next year. Not a single year of new Who has been like the last and that keeps things fresh and interesting.

8. The brittishness of it. The fact that it doesn't take itself seriously and that it can go as far as the imagination of the writers and the budget allows. And even then, the sillyness and the fact that it's a little bit rubbish at times adds a tremendous charm to it.

9. The gay agenda. *snorts*

10. The TARDIS which is the most lovable ship of the galaxy. *clings to its blue panels*
