DEAR. GOD.
I had such high expectations for such a tiny DW fix that I was pretty sure I would be disappointed.
WELL I should have trusted teh Moffat *smacks self*
Davison and Tennant were MAGNIFICENT.
Peter Davison is still so *completely* and *brilliantly* Five that you fail to see that he's 25 years older.
Ten was awesomely bonkers and unbearably CUTE. I loved all his little remarks and his state of perpetual squee over seeing his old self again.
Also loved the wibbly wobbly timey wimey plot !
Seriously, how can you convey that much awesomeness in so little time ? MOFFAT IS GENIUS.
AND THE ICING ON THE CAKE WOULD BE THAT WITHIN THOSE SEVEN TINY MINUTES, HE FOUND A WAY TO PUT SOME DOCTOR/MASTER INSINUATIONS IN IT.
I AM OVER THE MOON AND I SHALL TRANSCRIPT THAT BRILLIANT BIT.
Ten : Oh he just showed up again. Same as ever.
Five : Oh no really ? Does he still have that rubbish beard ?
Ten : No beard this time. Well ! A wife.
YAH RIGHT HE JUST TOLD HIS OLD SELF THAT TEH MASTAR IS STILL TEH GAY. XD
LIKE, WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT COULDN'T BE MOAR CANON, TADAAAA. MOFFAT IS MY HERO.
But I mean it's Ten and Five so it makes so much sense that the first thing he tells him about his current life is the return of the evil BF.
Finally ten's last confession to five about him being *his* doctor was trully moving.
You know, I love being you. Back when I first started, at the very beginning, I was always trying to be old and grumpy and important like you do when you're young. And then I was you.
AAAAWWWW SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS !!
It was just an incredible hommage to Five, I would have loved to see those two interact for a whole episode but still they did a tremendous job on those seven minutes.
Now I will probably watch it on repeat til it's Christmas Special TIEM.
