BUT IT HURTS SO GOOD.

I just finished Oz season 2 and it's simply one of the best show ever.

The characters are amazing and I was hooked to every single plot.

I still love Beecher to death because he was our way in the show and I love how he transformed himself into the psychotic woobie that he's now.
Keller is one smug slutty bastard. And Chris Meloni brings a lot of sensuality to the role (HOT DAMN).
Their relationship is twisted and fucked up which happens to be just about everything I'm into right now. It's intense and hot and the actors have crazy chemistry. They're hurting me, sure, but I'm just asking for more because I wouldn't want it any other way (even if theyresoinloveandtheyjustdontknowityet).

My second favorite character is Ryan because he's a (very hot) weasel. For some reason the actor makes me think of Michael Rosenbaum (the ressemblance is almost confusing me sometimes...) I love how he manipulates his little word just to save his ass and I adored the way he was all protective with his brother *dies* He also became a woobie in season 2, which is apparently this season's syndrome because...

ZOMG MIGUEL YOU POOR THING !!!!!11 Love Miguel. Especially his lovely slashy vibes with father Mukada (ZOMG THAT LAST SCENE).

I also particulary like Augustus (which is a change from hating Harold in Lost) and I can't help loving Schillinger because I adore J.K. Simmons.

The only character that I HATE HATE HATE is McManus. Fuck off and die already you sanctimonious prick.


I did see some of those episodes a long time ago but season 3 (which I bought last week) will be all new to me so I really can't wait to see what happens next ! *iz hooked*

Oh and GIP btw. I'm still working on this batch but I'll post it before the end of the week (when I'll be free from my exams, at last).

YAY for you loving OZ! It's such an amazing show. Beecher and Keller are so ahdjasdkhjal fucked up, it's impossible not to love them. Ryan will always have my &hearts though haha. I should totally put my DVDs on, it's been way too long since I've watched OZ.

I've recently started rewatching the episodes on HBO. I know people laud The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but OZ was the best series HBO has ever had.

Beecher and Keller are the OTP of the show, but I always kept my fingers crossed for those crazy kids: Ryan and Gloria.

And yes, McManus is a jerk of ultimate proportions.

I really like SFU too but this has just something... Different and 100% brilliant.

I also love Ryan/Gloria but that's pretty much because I love every single scene Ryan is in *lusts*

SFU is marvelous too, but OZ had, to me, a near impossible task of making these characters who for the most part, are murderers and sociopaths and made it work that the audience loved them and rooted for them despite the knowledge that they weren't "good guys".

I love Schillinger too! It's the sort of thing you keep quiet about lol, when people are only just being introduced to season 1, and how victimised poor Toby was then, but the actor really is incredibly funny. Because of their comic timing, Adebesi and Schillinger were bad guys that totally had my heart *g* I may have *cough* even shipped Ryan/Adebesi a bit *cough*

I also adore Beecher and Ryan in season 1, they were so adorable. But that friendship gets dropped pretty much for Beecher/Said friendship after season 1 :/ I liked Said and Beecher too, but they weren't really very slashy or cute in the same way

And oh god Alvarez just kills me, the baby plot in season 1 *sobs and sobs* It's not going to get any less depressing for him sadly :/

Hee I'm not sure about Hill though because the character never seemed that important in his own right, he seemed to get the role of narrator rather than actual decent plots. And whilst I appreciate some of the monologues, a lot of the time it feels too much like TF using the character as his mouthpiece for lectures. All very worthwhile, but not really what I watch Oz for y'know... I suppose overall I didn't really mind Hill though, but I would have probably appreciated him more if they had dropped the monologues, and spend more time on his character instead. Because the actor got so much screentime with the monologues, it felt like the actual character was negelcted quite a bit, if that makes sense.

Yeah but in the meantime if Schillinger hadn't victimised Toby this hard from the get go I wouldn't have gotten this much attached to him afterwards. Conclusion : Schillinger is made of awesome \o/
And I totally forgot to talk about Adebisi ! He's something alright XD He's also lovely to hate (god the actors are so amazing in this show).

I understand you pov on Hill and I partially agree but that's his place as the narrator that got me liking him. I love the
way they use narrative in this show.

I'm trying not to spoil myself too badly but is there a musical episode in season 5 ?? From the little I've seen, "Variety" looks like it but I'm not completely sure. That's... Unusual of a drama like Oz O_o

I don't think the musical episode was either that special or that awful, which is kind of surprising because with the show taking a chance like that, you'd expect it to fall into one of those extremes. I mean some people really loved it, some really hated it, but my own impression was more "that was okay". The Beecher/Schillinger duet is MADE OF AWESOME OMG! But other than that, I didn't get particularly wowed. Hahah it was worth making for that routine alone though :P But it wasn't exactly best episode ever type stuff like the Buffy musical was
