The Battlestar Galactica OSTs are among my all time favourite sountracks. The music was just like the show, epic, dark and heartbreaking.

Now Gaeta singing in 4x07 is one of the most memorable moment from the entire show. Alessandro Juliani's voice is gorgeous and the song is incredibly sad.

GAH. ;___;

Everytime the album version of this song plays in my mp3 player, EVERYTIME, no matter where I am, I always get tears in my eyes. And once it's on I can't stop playing it.
It's one of the most heartbreaking songs I know.

And I decided to upload it and share the love :

Gaeta's Lament
Gaeta's Lament (instrumental version)

I need to rewatch BSG from the very beginning something fierce. I miss the show so much ;__;

/random post is random.

[livejournal.com profile] 45eugenia has discovered it first, therefore she wins.

GUYS, WATCH THIS.

THIS IS SO AMAZING YOUR BRAIN WON'T BE ABLE TO COMPUTE UNTIL YOU'VE WATCHED IT 5 TIMES MORE.

IT IS SO CHEESILY EPIC YOU MIGHT GO MAD FROM WATCHING IT. A LITTLE.

THIS. WATCH IT.

I've also given up and dled the first episode of Demons. I really hope that it lives up to its reputation :D

I've just finished watching my Kaamelott Livre V dvd boxset which was the end of a big watchathon of the whole series and the evolution of the show is even more striking when you watch it all back to back.

Watching Livre V's episodes as they were originally edited (8 x 50') made the season ten times better. The story flow felt more natural and the new opening credits are beautiful.
Livre V is absolutely gorgeous in every aspect and truly heartbreaking.
Arthur's pain is difficult to bear and I just wanted to reach out and hold him. Lancelot is impossible to hate, obviously, because he was misguided and so damn lost (and I did felt the urge to give him a cuddle once or twice, too). Méléagant scares me shitless and that can't be said about a lot of vilains, believe me.
The ending is *such* a downer, a magnificent one, granted, but I did tear up again. I'm excited about the prequel season but I'm also frustrated that we'll have to go through 8 episodes first before we get the cliffhanger's resolution. I'm already rooting for something incredibly slashy involving Arthur, Lancelot and lots of confort, btw.

Can it be fixing tiem for Arthur nao plz plz plz ? ;___;

As for the extras, the Livre VI's teaser is way too frustrating and short but there's A MAGNIFICENT Alexandre Astier interview taking place at the Cinecitta studios which makes me worship him even more now than I already did before. The man is EPIC.

I've also run out of Boosh to rewatch (episodes, live show, extras, interviews and stuff) which is why I'm currently all *SADFACE* and I am now halfway through Nathan Barley again and I'm actually enjoying it more this time around than the first, for some reason. It may have a vague relation to me having recently read the awesome stupid cracklulz that was Fratboy!Arthur's sequel and that the majority of the characters are cracking me up everytime they open their mouth to speak. Or it may have to do with the fact that I'm also reading Barley fics on the side and that I've reluctantly *laughs* jumped on the Dan/Jones bandwaggon. Or simply because JULIAN BARRATT IS HOT LIKE THE BURNING OF A THOUSAND SUNS in this, then again I was already aware of that fact the first time around. I'm not even hating Claire that much now.

On a musical note, after resisting a long time I gave the Ting Tings a chance and promptly fell in love with their album. That was the last thing I expected, d'oh.

My two favourite songs being :

Peace and Fucking , dude and dudettes !

No I am not Merlin squeeing 24/7 I had some things I totally forgot to write about because no, I am not Merlin squeeing 24/7 *coughs*

So first of all, let's talk about Alias season 3 ! I had stopped my Alias marathon 4 episodes in because I had a sudden urge to rewatch Kaamelott from the beginning, which is so not related to That Obsession in any way.
Right, so I've started Alias again and despite the obligatory suspension of belief that is necessary to go through the show starting with this season and my burning hatred of pre!evil!Lauren (which I didn't know I still had) IT IS TEH GREAT !

And speaking of the awesome list of classy guest stars the show had, I totally remembered the earlier ones like Quentin Tarantino, Roger Moore, Faye Dunaway, Ethan Hawke, Rutger Hauer and Christian Slater but I had completely forgotten about David Cronenberg and Isabella Rosselini in season 3 ! Of course by this season I was WTFing so often that I didn't remember much of the plot either. I also completely blanked out Quentin Tarantino's comeback but then I remembered him going on and on about the prettiness of Sark's hair and I was all "OMG HOW COULD I FORGET THAT SCENE WHERE HE COMPLIMENTS HIM ABOUT HIS HAIR. THIS IS SO AWESOME". And of course Lauren stopped being annoying the second she started killing people and making out with Sark.
All of this to say that Alias season 3, compared to monstrosities commited by other shows is 200% superior to the memory of fail I had of it.
It's a bit ironic really, since this season's theme is about memory loss, lulz.

So apart from the lastest episode of Merlin WHICH WAS MADE OF 57 FLAVOURS OF WIN, saturday has been a mighty fine fanturday indeed for the highly entertaining values of Quantum of Solace and the ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE that was the end of Dead Set.

Quantum was admitedly less good than Casino Royale but Daniel Craig is definitely the Hottest Bond of Them All simply because his version is all kind of fucked up. There's nothing more appealing to my eyes than a character with huge psychological and emotional issues and he was the main interest of the film cut for mild spoilers )

I watched the finale episode of Dead Set with [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy and [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall and I must say that as a whole, this series left me impressed ! I was expecting a vaguely cracky but average zombie story when I first started watching it but I was surprised by how great the writing and acting ended up to be. It even got a great review from zombie expert Simon Pegg (apart from the nitpick which I found very cute ♥) !!!1!!11
I also did not expect them to go there for the ending and I was immensely pleased by it. Bonus points for the Doctor Who mention in the penultimate episode <3

Speaking of I am in love with the Doctor Who series 4 soundtrack ! All the songs from Turn Left are particulary brilliant, especially A Dazzling End which reminds me vividly of Donna's finest moment everytime I listen to it (OH DONNA.)and I also adore Song for Captivity and Freedom because it never fails to give me chills.
I also love the VOTD suite which is a bit lulzy since I despise the actual episode.

It really brings back nice series 4 memories and makes me want to see some episodes again.

Now to make my post title not accurate in the least, I should also thank [livejournal.com profile] tya_rc for pointing us to the failed pilot of Dis/Connected which we also ended up watching on saturday night. Why ? Well not for the fact that the pilot in itself is complete rubbish, but for the only reedeeming quality which is THIS )

That's right, IT HAS BRADLEY JAMES PLAYING A HUGE MANWHORE WHO SHOULD REALLY BE UNLIKABLE BUT IS BOTH HILARIOUS AND HOT AS HELL INSTEAD. ILHIM SO HARD. Thank god it was never picked up though, THANK GOD FOR ARTHUR.

Oh and it also has Clyde from sja as an obnoxious chav who turns out to be A GAY INNA CLOSET. THIS WAS A BIT WIN AS WELL.
But the rest sucked and there was not enough of the both of them. Incidently, I seem to have kept it anyway. x______x

I've also capped the hell out of 107 but AM TOO DISTRACTED TO GET ON WITH THE ICONING PART ALREADY.

And this fanturday, we're going to the Pierrefonds Castle with [livejournal.com profile] ephyse and [livejournal.com profile] tya_rc. TEEHEE FRENCH!CAMELOT. I cannot wait for our first taste of Merlin's Excellent Adventures (you have no idea how lost Pierrefonds is XD At least we consider ourselves lucky that we don't have to spend much on a fannish trip for a change. Not that we already have plans to go there and have a look at the series 2 shooting when they come back next year, AT ALL.)

(btw I am not especially bored but this mood theme has Colin Morgan in it, therefore my non obsessive self was compelled to use it \o/)

And if you're wondering why I'm sharing a crappy Rn'B song, you clearly haven't seen the best bit of telly this week and therefore lose at life :

Simon and Phil's declaration of love to Bill Bailey <3 )

And yes, I do know the dancing routine by heart.

Oh my god I had no idea the Torchwood soundtrack would make me so emotional *__*

I totally forgot how friggin *beautiful* some themes were.

Ugh I just woke up and I'm so sore *hurts everywhere*

But it was so worth it ! Because last night in Paris, we saw the Fratellis live (with [livejournal.com profile] jedicathy, [livejournal.com profile] fairy_bliss and friends of her) and it was brilliant !

It was in a tiny concert hall (The Trabendo for those who might know it) and we were just a few feet from the stage. The room was packed and it was hotter than hell but we danced and bounced everywhere like crazy. They play as much songs from Costello Music (I had much squee for Flathead, Henrietta and Chelsea Dagger ! But they didn't play Creepin Up The Backstairs which was a shame since it's my favourite from the first album) as from Here We Stand (with Tell Me A Lie and a Heady Tale which are my two favourites from the second album <3). They were kind on us and generally followed the energetic songs with calmer ones (I felt almost out of breath after Chelsea Dagger and there was no air to breath in the room anyway so eeek) The singer was assaulted 3 times by a boy and two girls who got on stage to kiss him on the cheek. The bassist felt left out so he went to him and kissed him too XD

They played for 2 hours and were completely awesome (special kudos to the drummer who seemed to have the blast of his life. HE WAS ON FIRE.). We couldn't feel our legs anymore when it ended but I managed to get home, eat a salad while watching the X Files and crash into bed without setting the alarm clock (no I didn't forget XD). I'll go to school this aftertoon instead.
I can't be much arsed anyway since it's the last day.

LONG LIVE SCOTLAND !!!!!!
rosengirl: (IT Crowd : bfaq Ayoade is a fucknut <3)
So yeah last night, RATM at Bercy, there's only one way to describe it :

HOLYFUCKINGSHITORSUM.

It was one of the best concert I've ever been to.

They didn't age at all. They were as energetic as a bunch of teenagers and I've never seen a crowd so responsive. They ended the gig with Killing in the Name and by that point everyone was off their heads. Tom Morello is a motherfraking GOD.

We took the last train home and we were bloody exhausted by all the bouncing and shouting and I'm really sore today but it was WORTH THE PAIN.

I had to take the afternoon off because it was morning of the living dead today at work. I slept the afternoon away (and yet I'm still tired and sore, which is fucking perfect since I'm going to the Parc Asterix tomorrow, eh.)
