I think we're about to have sex with Ted.

DUDE.
THIS WEEK'S TELLY IS KILLING ME. KILLING ME DEDEDED.
HOUSE *WILD HAND GESTURES* I MEAN HOUSE THIS WEEK OMFG. I CANNOT EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR THE EPISODE EXCEPT THAT GETTING MARRIED IS THE LAST THING I WOULD WANT BUT I WOULD SO DO IT JUST TO HAVE HOUSE THROW ME A BACHELOR PARTY, I MEAN ESPECIALLY IF THERE'S PANTLESS!DRUNK!WILSON HERE OMG. I MAY NEVER RECOVER FROM PANTLESS!DRUNK!WILSON, FOR SERIOUS.
I DON'T CARE THAT HOUSE IS GOING CRAZY, I AM LOVING AMBER'S RETURN WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH TO CARE.
13 AND THE STRIPPERS AND FOREMAN TOTALLY COOL WITH IT WAS ALSO WIN AND CHASE ALMOST KILLED BY STRAWBERRY BODY LOTION IDK MAN, THAT EPISODE, ALL OF IT. IT WAS FIERCE.
AND OF COURSE I CAN'T NOT END WITH : "Yes, me hallucinating you is my unconscious desire to get Wilson into my bedroom."
THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP, YO. \o/
THE BIG BANG THEORY WAS MORE AVERAGE GOOD BUT I TOTALLY HAVE TO MENTION THAT PENNY SINGING WARM KITTY SOFT KITTY TO SHELDON *AGAIN* MADE ME SQUEE INTO OBLIVION. ALSO, SHELDON MENTIONING SPOCK TWICE MADE ME LOL.
LAST SCENE WITH SHELDON COMING OUT OF PENNY'S PLACE AND CONFUSING LEONARD WITH THE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS TALK ?? SO AWESOME I COULD CRY. TOO BAD THE VEGAS PART WAS LESS INTERESTING. PENNY IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVOURITEST FEMALE CHARACTER EVAR.
AND FINALLY, THIS WEEK'S HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, SERIOUSLY, I MEAN SERIOUSLY DID I IMAGINE THAT EPISODE OR WHAT ?
BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST EPISODE EVER. I WAS OVERWHELMED BY THE SLASH, IT WAS SO VERY SLASHY AND 100% LEGENDARY.
Phfew.
That's a lot of capslock but it was necessary to get that of my chest. I may squeal some more with my weekly dose of Guv Luv in a moment.
As for SF Sunday with just a tiny bit more of details,
fairy_bliss posted some delicious pics of James Callis and Jamie Bamber in her lj here.
She only saw them from the outside since she hadn't caught up with the show yet but I can tell you that the talk on stage with the three of them was made of 57 flavours of win. They were all completely sweet and had some great things to say about their fellow cast members (especially Edward James Olmos who really seemed like their surrogate father on and off set) and gave great insights on their respective characters on the show. Jamie surprised the hell out of us because he did the whole talk in french ! He apparently learned to read and write in Paris and he spoke almost flawlessly during the whole thing (yes, it was teh Hawt, Mary also thought so and said so XD).
James Callis'voice continues to melt my panties. His smooth posh brit accent is exactly the same than when he played Gaius and, OH BOY. Hilariously enough, it was melting my brother's panties too (he didn't phrase it like that, no, but I could tell that's what he meant) James was absolutely charming and funny in a complete debonaire fashion. Exactly how I'd imagined he would be except even more gorgeous *___*
They kept restraining themselves from talking about the finale because supposedly the room had not seen it (except that 99.9% of it had, the 0.1% being
jedicathy) but Jamie had the sense at one point to say 'what the hell we've all seen it' because they were trying to talk about the most powerful moments they kept from the shooting and they all had to hint at their last scenes.
Finally they received a Jules Vernes Award each and we were shown the opening episode of season 4 on the gigantic screen of the Rex theater. Let's just say that I had stars in my eyes because the show translates beautifully on the big screen. The bro and I exchanged glances and melancholic whispers when certain characters appeared on screen. Gaius and his harem killed me with lulz all over again. It sure gave me the urge to watch the show all over again from the very beginning. I'll probably end up doing that this summer.
Then
fairy_bliss,
angeliksmall,
tya_rc and
castalie joined us for the Star Trek french premiere and it also was ORSUM. Part of my brain was with the other half forced to stay at home because of a bad cold (that would be the lovely
ephyse), but my heart was 100% PWNED by the film.
The best surprise being that it was made of cracklulz. I don't remember much about the old series, apart from the fact that I watched it little on the fifth channel but I'm glad that the film didn't take itself too seriously and that they kept the old funky designs fro the ships and costumes. It didn't mean that it was disrespectful and I could feel which were the iconic moments made for the true fans. The only thing I really remembered from the old show was the remake of the opening credits at the end with the theme song ! The cast was extremely good, I had my worries about Chris Pine but he did a fantastic job as Kirk. He was brash and stupid but also quirky and bright enough to buy that he would make a great captain.
Quinto rocked the amazingness of Spock and did great justice to Nimoy's original interpretation... Which was fortunate since Nimoy'Spock had also an important part in the film. Not too much pressure on Quinto's shoulder, then.
Simon Pegg only appears a good hour into it but did wonders as Scotty ! You could believe he was actually scottish.
Chekov (beware this is my 'let's insert unexpected criminal minds squee' moment) WAS PLAYED BY REID'SLOVE INTEREST UNSUB FROM 211 !!!!1 And he was hilariously cute with his dreadful russian accent <3
The plot was made of wibly wobly timey wimey goodness and Spock was definitely competing with the Doktah in the 'EMO MANPAIN COZ MAH PLANET'S GONE AND IT IS ALL MAH FAULT' department.
The slash flew from everywhere and I basically ship Kirk with his entire crew (Spock and McCoy being the two favourites, obvs).
I don't know if it will be as enjoyable for the fans, but as a relative newbie, I can tell you that it definitely made me want to catch up with the original series *has already watched lots of random scenes on YT*

on 2009-04-28 08:44 pm (UTC)Although ironically enough, I think that it was House who made me laugh the hardest and the loudest (I can't wait for you to see it !).

on 2009-04-28 09:29 pm (UTC)And I want to see Star Trek because of Anton Yelchin! He was amazing in Huff (I still mourn that series. It was really good). I'm not sure how good of a friend he is with Matthew, but he did a movie with Matthew's ex gf some time ago (Charlie Bartlett).

on 2009-04-29 06:15 am (UTC)SO MUCH WORD ON HIMYM. It even topped the Naked Man episode !
I didn't see Charlie Bartlett yet but I had no idea that he was in Star Trek, hence me squinting at him for a good 5 minutes and wondering if my addiction to CM had melted my brain for good. He's also fantastic in it <3

I couldn't believe the episode, it became slashy and then slashier and then slashier AND THEN SLASHIER. Also like
I really missed you at star trek, I would have loved to have you beside me to squee my head off when Reid's unsub came on screen (none of the girls knew who he was :/). But we're totally doing a raincheck on that, love ^^
