I'm back in France, sadly, because I had the most amazing of times in Scotland.

I saw some gorgeous places and stayed in beautiful and interesting cities (Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow).

I had the chance to spend a lovely evening with the awesome marah_sarie and enjoyed some of the Edinburgh festival with the hilarious Scottish Falsetto Puppet theater and Rhys Darby's new standup show which was made of complete win.

I already miss spending so much time with fairy_bliss, abella_08 and angeliksmall, the breathtaking beauty of the Lochs, the LOTR-ish magnificence of Isle of Skye and most of all, the sweet sweet melody of bagpipes in the streets and men in kilts.

I'll do some sort of report with pictures asap.
Right now I'm going to try catching up with the Flist and squee over my shiny new Black Guardian Thrilogy which came by the mail while I was away (heeee ♥TURLOUGH♥)

Hee thanks ^^ I saw that you've fallen head over heels for AVPM ! It's soooo intoxicating ! We spent all of our trip randomly singing songs from it.

SOMEONE ELSE WHO KNOWS THE SCOTTISH FALSETTO SOCK PUPPET THEATRE! Aren't they AMAZING?!!!

I saw their pre-Festival show (which they did in Gloucester). Bit rocky at first because there weren't many people and we weren't sure how much audience participation was required but once we all got into it, things were so much fun (always hilarious but it's better when the audience knows what it's doing).

THEY WERE SO BLOODY HILARIOUS LIVE WE LOVED IT.

It was the pre-festival show as well ! I would have been curious to come again the next night and see what changes they made (they did some outrageous jokes about swine flu and Michael Jackson and it was glorious).

OMG! Did they do the hilarious "tribute" to Michael Jackson's 'best known song'? XD We all started shouting out Michael Jackson songs and they were like "No, it's not that... not that... not that" and eventually it came out that it was Earth Song but THEN they started holding up lyric boards a la Bob Dylan in Subterranean Homesick Blues and the words were just what they heard, not the actual lyrics! I was in tears!
