rosengirlYesterday was indeed the sad day where Kings came to an end for me and I'm still not over the frustrating ending.
No more Jack Benjamin crying all over the place or being devious and manipulative.
No more delightfully creepy Macaulay Culkin <333
No more MAGNIFICENT King Silas.
No more magical reverend Samuels.
No more conflicted yet efficient Thomasina.
No more cracky guards !
No more uber classy & ruthless Queen Rose.
No more of David's puppy eyes which had me exasperated most of the time but I'll probably miss his delicious scenes with Silas and Jack !
No more Michelle WOOT WOOT !
Oh and Joseph be still my heart forever and ever ♥
In conclusion Kings taught me that a fate worse than death = Het. Thank you for making this statement canon, show \o/
I found this lovely vid and I definitely realised that Jack is probably one of my all time favourite characters and that the show was taken from us way too soon DAMNIT.
Such a gorgeous show, too. ;___;
But it's also a time for happy returns like the new series of the Sarah Jane Adventures starting this week YAY :

And an other completely unexpected return was the new Law & Order UK episode that popped up on the intrawebz and I sure hope that the rest will follow because DEAR GAWD I totally forgot how good that series was.
Freema is absolutely stunning and I really think that it's her best role by far. She did a great career move when she decided to pick Alesha because she really shines and I'm completely proud and impressed by her in this (not that I'm giving up my Marfa luv but she has more room to stretch her acting muscles in L&O and it's really showing).
My shippy heart was delighted to have good Alesha/James interactions and I was also *so pleased* to have Matt and Ronnie's awesome partnership on my screen again, and you know, Jamie Bamber's gorgeousness doesn't hurt one bit, same goes for Ben Daniels hot like burning. I won't talk about Freema. NO I DO NOT WATCH FOR SHALLOW REASONS.
The ending was unexpected and pissed me off but I guess that it was good for added realism. I loved that the procecutors fought so hard to work on the case though.
The rest of my telly watching in a few words :
Criminal Minds 5x03 - Haunted
Needed moar Hotchalangst but I love Rossi even more now so that's ok.
Rossi and his past local mob connections LAWL. He always bring the lulz but in a really cool, awesome way. I bet Gideon's past must be super boring in comparison :P
Of course Reid as Garcia's bitch was the best part of the episode, they had the greatest comic timing evar.
I'm also pleased that Foyet gets a namecheck every episode and even if it was more subtle (a bit too much but the generic audience probably isn't as addicted to Hotch's suffering as I am) the tiny hints like Hotch watching his son and his scenes with Rossi were very good. Despite the fact that Rossi pretty much suggested that he should go back to THE STUPID WHORE WHO CAN'T
GRASP THE CONCEPT OF WITNESS PROTECTION and leave the bureau which would be the worst case of DNW for me. I don't think we have real reasons to freak out tho.
Glee 1x06 - Vitamin D
WAS GREAT !
Loved the musical numbers and laughed the hardest at the priceless glimpse into Finn's life.
Still needs moar Puck & Kurt & Puck/Kurt, for great justice.
Sue can easily apply for World Domination because she is Awesome enough. I'm dying to be next episode and see how she co-runs Glee Club.
Supernatural 5x05 - Fallen Idol
was not as good as the trailer at the end (which was FLAIL X INFINITY) but pretty good and hilarious nonetheless.
I loved the crack, I loved James Dean's car and Gandhi's ninja skills and fruitovore ways and Paris Hilton kicking Dean within an inch of his life, while Sam pointed and laughed.
10 bonus points for the hilarious House of Wax reference and the shot on Sam's face at that moment.
It wasn't exactly groundbreaking but it was a hell of a laugh and a real breath of fresh air from the heavy mythological arc (which was needed at that point, imho).
The Office 6x04-05 - Niagara
ABSOLUTELY SUPERB.
Definitely in my top 3 Office episodes.
From the vomitfest of the opening scene (LOL) to the ADORABLE parody of the JK Wedding Entrance with Dwight highkicking his one night stand, Michael in tears and Jim and Pam soaked wet with the Niagara falls on the background.
From Kevin being mistaken for Oscar's boyfriend to Andy crying at the rehearsal to Jim giving a very Michael-like speech to Michael talking to Pam's outraged gran.
From Michael refusing to share a room with Toby to the dance contest between Kelly and Andy gone hilariously wrong to Dwight scoring with a hot chick and ditching her afterwards to Jim and Pam's psychic camera moments to Kevin wearing a wig and box of tissues as shoes.
All of it.
Dollhouse : Criminal Minds, meet Dollhouse. Dollhouse, meet Criminal Minds. Loved the concept ! Enver Gjokaj is one of the best reason for not cancelling the show.
Also, KIKI!VIKTOR/BALLARD FOREVAH.
Merlin : twas my favourite episode of the new series so far and I SHIP EVERYONE WITH EVERYONE. Nobody was left out and it was properly glorious <3
In conclusion this :

Oh and speaking of Arthurian legend, THIS WEEK IS ALSO KAAMELOTT'S RETURN ON FRENCH TV YES ! Last series of the only french show we can be proud of <3

OMG YOU NEED TO SEE THE LATEST L&O UK. ALESHA IS ALL QUIETLY ANGSTING BUT UBER PROFESSIONAL AND DETERMINED AND ALL THE MALES WORRY ABOUT HER AND IT'S ADORABLE. The story was also very good but I have yet to see a bad episode so it goes without saying ^^

Par contre j'ai pas trop aimé Merlin. C'est peut être parce qu'on a vu Lancelot que dans deux épisodes mais j'ai l'impression que lui&Gwen se connaissent à peine. Je m'attendais juste à de la tension sexuelle, pas à des déclarations d'amour aussi enflammées! En même temps, ça me fait aimer Arthur encore plus :p

on 2009-10-14 10:17 pm (UTC)Merlin j'essaye d'occulter les ébauches de het de la saison 1 et comme ça je trouve que le Arthur/Gwen et le Lancelot/Gwen tient la route parce que c'est mieux écrit cette année. Et puis comme tu dis, les répercutions woobiesques sur Arthur étaient géniales !
