In other extremely good fannish stuff, THE MERLIN S3 PREMIERE ROCKED LIKE A ROCKING THING.

I love that show like pie for the slashiness and the crack but I never have high expectations. That premiere (and the trailer for next week) blew. Me. Away.

IT WAS EPIC AND IT HAD STAKES, I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT. I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED SO FAR. It's like they finally found how to hit third gear !

Regarding Merlin: shit just got real, y/y? I suspected it was going to happen from the trailer, but wow, I did not expect it to get this real. Although why doesn't Morgause sense that Merlin has magic?! I'm going with classic British snobbery. *snark* She can't even form the idea that a 'servant boy' might have special powers. I'm sort of sad that Morgana has turned evil yet happy that she's finally become proactive.

Yes! Also, I'm glad to see that Merlin has also become a bit more confident since meeting his father and finding out who he is - very Campbell, very Hero's Journey, I approve. Talking back to Arthur, using subtle magic to get his own back... THAT'S the Merlin we know from history, glad to see they're finally getting on with it. I do think Colin enjoys being mischievous.
