In other extremely good fannish stuff, THE MERLIN S3 PREMIERE ROCKED LIKE A ROCKING THING.

I love that show like pie for the slashiness and the crack but I never have high expectations. That premiere (and the trailer for next week) blew. Me. Away.

IT WAS EPIC AND IT HAD STAKES, I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT. I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED SO FAR. It's like they finally found how to hit third gear !

So first of all Doctor Who had its most Epic first part of a finale ever. I watched it twice, I'm still not coherent about it and all I can say is that I've never wanted to be so spoiler free in my entire fannish life. I want my mind to get blowned the way the Moff intended it to be. In its own mystical time;
I hope (and I'm pretty confident) that he won't let me down with the last episode since I pretty much enjoyed the hell out of series 5. All of it. Some episodes were less awesome than others but there was always something memorable and epic or funny about each of them.
Also Matt, Karen and Arthur, be still my beating whovian heart.


I decided that I will do the TV meme that's been going round for a while to try and update more.

I started Caprica and it's very interesting and so pretty ! The opening credits alone are so frakking gorgeous.
It's very different from BSG in that it's more like a family drama (the atmosphere reminds me of Kings a little bit) but the actors are very good and the story of the cylons creation is quite clever and nicely done (I've only seen the first two eps).

I also randomly started to watch True Blood and I'm 7 episodes into the first season. Well that's not true, I got coerced by jedicathy and fairy_bliss' infectuous enthusiasm about it.

So far it's cliché and cracky, most of the characters make me lol unintentionally (Bale and Suckeh in particular are hilarious) and the gratuitous sex is quite mindboggling. So it's nothing to fuss about but it's pleasant to watch and I know that it will get crackier and awesomer with the next season (also, Eric). One good point though is that it totally helped me get over my hate of vampire stories since the Twatlight phenomena ruined the genre for me.
I'm also totally supporting Jake Silbermann's wish to get a role in that show now, especially if it involves nekkidness and bloodsucking (he already has the teeth and the abs for it, even :D).

This post is totally pointless because I really CANNOT form coherent thoughts about it right now.

But one word comes to mind for about everything from the directing, acting, story, atmosphere, feelings, photography and so on :




PERFECTION.




fairy_bliss and myself are biaised as massive Colin Firth fans but there's not one thing to nitpick about everything else. One of the best cinematic experience I've had in a long time.

And it *is* Colin's role of a lifetime. If he doesn't win the oscar for this, I will lose all faith in humanity for good.
