You must know that I already saw Utopia three times (the third with my brother and his reaction was positively priceless XD) and I am still reduced to a gigantic ball of awe and squee.

It's the best, awesomest, shiniest Doctor Who ever. I kid you not.

My review might be pretty useless for I've not reached coherence yet again so, sorry about that.


JACK :

Can Torchwood be cancelled so Jack can return to Doctor Who for good ? ZOMG YES PLZ.
Especialy since we now know that the only reason he became the leader of Torchwood was to be in the right time right place to find the Doctor *HEEEEEEE*

Jack owned the screen the second he did his silly jump, I love love love love love love love him to death.
He fits so well in the show it's not even funny ! It felt like he never left. With the flirting with every living thing, the running and THE UNECESSARY STRIPPING OF LOVE.

JACK AND THE DOCTOR :

Frak. Me. They were burning my retinas with chemistry. They were slashy, they were snarky, they were angsty, they were buddies, they were AWESOMECAKES.
Loved the longing looks, loved the lines :

Jack : You don't tell him to put his gun down.
The Doctor : He's not my responsibility.
Jack : And I am ? That makes a change.

Jack : How long have you known ?
The Doctor : Ever since I ran away from you.

Jack : I gotta meet myself.
The Doctor : Well, it's the only man you'll ever be happy with.
Jack : This new regeneration, it's kind of cheeky ! (AND YOU LIKE IT OH YES YOU DO *FLAILS*)

Again with the smiles and the looks, THEY WERE SO FLIRTING AT SOME POINT. I mean when Jack stripped in front of him only because he looked good ?? OH MY GOD. I also loved that the Doctor kept saying 'Stop it' or 'don't start' everytime Jack flirted with somebody that wasn't him. *grins*
OMG and I squeed very loud when Jack took his coat !!!!! Like some people said on torch_wood, it was a total Ianto moment ! Jack is the Doctor's Ianto !!! *BRAIN. CANNOT. COMPUTE. TOO. MUCH. AWESOME.*

The Rose mentions were just right, not too heavy handed like some earlier episodes. How great was Ten telling CHEERFULLY to Jack that she was alive and well with Mickey and her mother (And then, the hug. *EXPLODES*). I don't want Ten angsting over Rose anymore, I hope that this reaction was an indication that he finally found closure. I loved the bit where Jack told him that he returned to the Powell Estate and saw her growing up *TEH AWWWWWW*

MARTHA :

Was AWESOMECAKES too, even if the episode was really focused on Ten/Jack.
I LOVED her instant bonding with Jack and their bitching about the Doctor's fondness for blondes XD XD XD.
I LOVED her reaction to the hand in the jar "You grew........... Another hand." "yeahyeahyeahyes hello" *waves* OMGDIESOFTEHLAUGH*
And of course the breathtaking moment when she recognised the professor's fobwatch. Tremendous acting on both parts *claps*
And I loved Freema's outfit, she looked stunning ! *__*
I love her so very much.

PROFESSOR YANA/THE MASTER :

I loved the Professor as a character and Derek Jacobi's performance in both roles. I loved his profound love for the human race and his willingness to try everything to save them. I loved his kindness and the way he bonded with the Doctor over science. I loved when we started to see that something was wrong with him and the MAGNIFICENT scene where he started to cry because he began to have some memories back. I loved when he opened the watch and became the oposite of himself.
I loved him as the Master, no matter how shortly he played him.

THE BIG REVEAL :

WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING THEY'VE EVER DONE ON THIS SHOW.
Yes I suspected that he was the Master since pretty early on but it's the whole fobwatch and Yana reveal that made my jaw drop. I was already having chills when the Professor started to cry but as soon as he showed the watch to Martha I was like "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG"
When the Doctor started panicking, I swear that that alone made me stress like hell !
Then, there was the You Are Not Alone with flashes of Boe and I was still "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG"
The helpless Doctor banging desperately against the door of his ship *HEARTBREAKS*
The Master regenerating into John AWESOMECAKES Simm, which is already OWNING the part with BADASS CRAZY MANIC HOTASSNESS OF LOVE. We only had a glimpse but he's like the perfect nemesis for Ten, as bouncy and crazy but in an utterly evil magnificent kind of way. Yes I'm already having the biggest cruch on the Master (HAVE YOU SEEN NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW ?? He pwns. <3)
I spoke on the phone with azhureheart after my first watching and she's right, the score adds very much to the dramatic climax of the episode, kuddos to Murray Gold (he's always great but he did an even better job for this one).

AND NOW HE STOLE THE TARDIS ! AND OUR THREE AWESOMECAKES ARE STUCK AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE WITH A GAZILION MAD MAX CANIBALS WANABES TWO SECONDS AWAY FROM BURSTING THROUGH THE DOOR !

I don't thing my heart can be strong enough to wait another week.

By the way, this week's Doctor Who Confidential is owned by TEH JOHN B. and TEH JOHN S. If you want to keep on flailing, that's the thing to watch.
