Party Animals pimpage
Jan. 11th, 2009 06:07 pmYOU GUYS, MATT SMITH IS ABSO-FUCKINGLY-LY BRILLIANT AS DANNY FOSTER IN PARTY ANIMALS ! ♥
I'm up to 106 and I had to get that out of my chest ^^
So Party Animals is GREAT. It's more of a glorified soap set in a political context than a real drama about politics but the cast and the stories are really good and you can't stop watching it !
OF COURSE, it doesn't hurt that the series' real focus is about the lives of two brothers (Danny and Scott Foster) living together and being incrediblysuspiciously close cute and domestic <33333
Danny is an idealistic, borderline naive but extremely clever researcher working for Labour Home Office Junior Minister Jo Porter. He is completely devoted to his work, socially challenged and very awkward. In other words he is ADORKABLE.
Scott is a lobbyist who works for a firm keen on making friends with the Tory party. He is a gorgeous prick but has sweet sweet moments of vulnerability. Still a prick, though. He cares deeply about his little brother.
When I say care, I mean glomping, hair ruffling, guilty crisis and occasional cry in each other's arms. Oh yes.
We follow two teams of young researchers, Danny and Kristy (Andrea Riseborough from Being Human and the Devil's Whore ♥) from the Labour HQ and Matt and Ashika who work for Shadow Minister James Northcote (Patrick Baladi aka Excelsior from No Heroics !). It's quite interesting to have a critical view on both sides.
Apart from Danny, the characters aren't nice and they all have personal agendas, which is perfect to depict people in politics.
I love pretty much all of them, even if I mainly watch to have Matt making me flail like mad. HE IS SO GOOD.
There's something definitely doctorish about him in the way he moves. He's quite... Fidgety. He has great charisma too and he proved me that he can easily be leading man material.
I can't unsee it now.
I am 600% convinced that he will do great things in DW and just, yes let it be 2010 already (sorry Dave !).
EDIT : if *that* doesn't finish to convince you to watch then, er, you are bloody weird !
( brotherly love ) /end EDIT.
I did cap the hell out of it and made some textless icons, mostly for myself but I thought I'd share teh love :
Teaser

Give Party Animals a try, for it is FTW.
I had the chance to convert
tya_rc yesterday and we had a good squee over the pilot together. Twas lovely ♥

OH BRADLEY, YOU PRECIOUS ADORKABLE GORGEOUS YOU.
Yes so I caught up with what I could found of Something For The Weekend with Bradley and Colin and they killed me with adorableness <333333333333
This weekend was delightfully Merlin themed and spent with my two lovelies,
tya_rc and
ephyse
Saturday was our epic trip to Castle Anachronism in Pierrefonds and it really is quite a bit magnificent ! I'll link to Tya's fine picspam because I'm lazy and she got the principal filming locations from the series covered. She should apparently be praised because she managed to do it with our scrutinity on her shoulders... Or something.
I put the rest of my pics and some of eph's in this gallery.
We had some troubles going there and back but they were seriously worth the effort.
We decided to accept Tya's invitation to stay at her place for the night to extend the Merlin squee with a group watching of 108 and it was, as expected made of complete win.
I don't have much to say about episode 8 mainly because I need to rewatch it to forge a definite opinion. I did like it even if it lacked some of the main things I watch the series for : Merlin/Arthur interactions and well, Arthur (Arthur'screentime this week was SO not enough, judging by me yelling 'YAH WELL GOOD BUT CAN IT BE ARTHUR TIEM NOW ?' at some point and my two fellow fangirls agreeing vigorously with that statement).
Then again I loved the darker tone and the story. It was also a great episode for the character of Morgana and I'm happy that she's getting increasingly more interesting.
Oh and I am totally shipping a new pairing now.
( YES, BECAUSE THEIR TWISTED IS HOT LIKE BURING )
The clip of 109 shown during Something For The Weekend looks very promising and slashy. I'm sure it will make up for the cravings that were not meet by this week's episode.
I also converted the girls to Ashes to Ashes, from which we watched 2 episodes. It was unexpected and pleased me quite a lot, I must say. We finished the night by watching bits from old Merlin episodes and falling asleep with the telly still on, the three of us squeezed in a double bed. It was quite lulzy XD
Tya also acquainted us with the wonders of Annabelle the Sheep (I laughed til I cried) and we also read a fic together the next morning, with much giggling.
(Thank you again sweetie, for welcoming us to your lair <3)
All in all, it was a fine weekend indeed and I'm already looking forward to the next which will see me and eph going to england to see The Mighty Boosh live show in Brighton. HEEEEEEEE TEAM MB HERE WE COME.

Sex meme snagged from everyone
Aug. 9th, 2007 11:22 pm1. List five celebrities you would have sex with without even asking questions.
2. Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. (five to one, one is the hottest.)
3. Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
4. Supply photos for said people
5. Tag five people! (everybody already did it)
So since my 3 first ones are the same as
ephyse, I decided to turn the meme into a sexspam for those, just to keep things interesting.
Bear in mind that this is the five people I would do right at this second.
( Cut to my sexual fantasies )

Jul. 4th, 2007 02:08 pmEVERYBODY SHOULD WATCH THIS !
I completely agree with the person who pimped it on
tennant_love, this is the best Tenth doctor video ever !
It's set to Muse's Map of the Problematique (♥) and it's a testament to David Tennant's acting talents.
Series 2 and 3
If you've never seen an episode of Doctor Who of your life WATCH THIS ! I can assure you that you'll want to see the series afterwards (or else you're really weird XD).

Hermits United for teh win
Jun. 17th, 2007 04:07 pmI made myself a new default icon *points*
You must know that I already saw Utopia three times (the third with my brother and his reaction was positively priceless XD) and I am still reduced to a gigantic ball of awe and squee.
It's the best, awesomest, shiniest Doctor Who ever. I kid you not.
My review might be pretty useless for I've not reached coherence yet again so, sorry about that.
( Utopia review aka the brain damaged inducing episode )
