How far can my love for David Tennant and John Simm go ? I have no idea.
We recieved the Doctor Who series 3 box in time yesterday and spent 5 hours with
angeliksmall watching the extras.
The David Tennant diaries show that this man is probably the most adorable actor you could possibly work with. He's all sweetness, excitement and geekiness which makes him impossibly HOT. We were pointing every single assistant director/costume designer/whatever, shouting "I WANT HIS/HER JOB, LUCKY BASTARD/BITCH !". And I must point out that John Barrowman and David are adorable with each other <333 and I loved when they were making fun of Freema XD
We didn't saw enough of John Simm but the moment he smiled that *MOST GORGEOUS SMILE OF TEH UNIVERSE* when David was bothering him with his camera was possibly the best bit of the whole thing. Well without counting naked Tennant filming himself in his trailer's mirror, OF COURSE.
Freema's tour was SO FRIGGING CUTE. She's a little ball of energy and rivals David in geekery.
The Deleted scenes may be the best extra of the box, only for the Human Nature ones ZOMG ! I understand why they had to cut it because it would have ruined the drama of the episode but man, John Smith singing "gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight" will be forever engraved in my skull. And the unaccelerated version of Martha's instructions had us laughing until we were in tears. I don't know how it is humanly possible to ramble this long (but it was Ten in a nutshell XD), kuddos to David.
The David/Freema/John commentary was glorious as well, we were laughing as hard as they were. DORKS.
All in all it felt way too short, which means that thoses five hours were really worth it.
We then watched Human Traffic for the first time and oh, TEH LOLZ people, TEH LOLZ. John Simm is hilarious in this !
I've come to realise that you can class his work in two categories. He either play serious and deep roles (State of Play, Life on Mars, The Yellow House, Blue/Orange) or... A wanker (Human Traffic, The Lakes, Boston Kickout, Forgive and Forget.)
Today we've programmed to watch Casanova and the Life on Mars series 2 extras, better get on with it.
See ya folks.
