rosengirl: (White Collar : Ménage à Trois)
I can't believe I've actually opened semagic to write it lol.

So I won't go into too many details but let's just say that we were lucky and on a roll !

Epic adventures of fannish Epicness are Epic )

I'm going back to the UK this weekend (Nottingham) to see SIMON AMSTELL !! I AM SO EXCITED I CAN BARELY CONTROL MY SQUEE. Oh. My. God. It better be fucking epic !

In other news I had my fastest addiction to a new show + fandom ever with the pilot episode of White Collar *points to icon*

It's sassy, shiny, classy and UBER SLASHY.

I'm already dying of the wait for 102 and have read pretty much every slash fics produced in the (already impressively active) fandom.

Oh and also today's SJA Killed. Me. OF AWESOME !! (re : the next tweet batch).
rosengirl: (Chuck : run for your lives)
WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

I'm currently packing stuff for my awesome fangirly weekend in London with [livejournal.com profile] fairy_bliss and [livejournal.com profile] ephyse !

This fannish trip entails :

- Tim Minchin's Read For This show tomorrow night
- John Barrowman in drag in La Cage Aux Folles on saturday afternoon
- JOHN SIMM IN SPEAKING IN TONGUES ON SATURDAY NIGHT YUUUUUUUUS !!

There's also plans to go to the Hawley Arms and the Tate Britain at some point.

It's going to be Epic !

YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS EPIC ?

WHY, THE LAST 6 EPISODES OF CHUCK SEASON 2 !

I... It just made me expire from squee. Between Awesome, Brice Larkin and Scott Bakula and and the burning hotness of Tricia Helfer AND THE UPGRADED INTERSECT.

Just major \o/

(I even had to make space for a Chuck icon, that's how FTW it was.)

Criminal Minds and Glee finished me off because they also ROCKED this week.
Now I'm waiting for Sarah Jane to dl and I'm reading Chuck fics (ZOMG CAN IT BE JANUARY ALREADY ?)

I wholeheartedly approve of the glimpse of the new TARDIS interior. I wasn't expecting this at all but I love the steampunk feel and the fact that it kept the current one's colour scheme.

I'll end this post with the prettiness that is the new Legend of the Seeker season 2 promo poster :

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ )

*happy sigh at life in general*
rosengirl: (DW : Ten/TARDIS)

OMFG LULZ ! That was so awesome.

His alien looks like a blue Rorschach, it's probably the hat and the lack of face.

OH BOYS <3<3<3

"Oh and John one more thing ? My Tardis. Mine. Say you're sorry."

I also admire Tim's reaction to David sneaking up on him in the behind the scene bit. I probably would have died and embarassed myself XD

OH MY GOD

YOU KNOW THE AWESOMENESS THAT IS SKINS 1X06 ??
THE ONE WITH THE CRAZY RUSSIAN TRIP, FULL OF MAXXIE PRETTINESS AND WHICH HAD THE FIRST EVER TONY/MAXXIE SCENES ??

IT. WAS. WRITTEN. BY. SIMON. FUCKING. AMSTELL.

*EXPIRES OF SQUEE*

Bless imdb for bringing such unexpected joy to my day.

The rest of the joy was brought by :

The vid of the Boosh boys interview at the NME awards because they're absolutely cute and rambling (Dave Brown is looking mighty fine these days <3).

Kingdom by [livejournal.com profile] th_esaurus which has an amazingly HAWT Simon/Noel/Julian threesome *___*

This Metz ad where Ju manages to be ridiculously hot (and there's random Noel jumping in a bin at the end XD) )

And I rewatched all of the series 2 extras (♥Sweet♥) and the commentary for the Legend of Old Gregg yesterday, which was very much soothing.
But I still feel like there's something missing today because I have this urge to rewatch Noel and Julian singing Married On The Morrow but my series 3 dvds are at [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall's place. She hasn't even bothered watching the extras yet... She's had them for a week already ! I can't understand non boosh obsessed people (no I'm just kidding here. I'm not that scary. *clears throat*).

Right so I haven't talked much about the Boosh in my last few posts but did you really think I had finally found a cure or something ? \o/
Like Simon would say : you're wrong. (and so am I) ♥

In other news, John Barrowman amuses me to no end XD
With his new Jack Russell puppy, Captain Jack.
Oh you Barrowman you *clings*

EDIT : I'm in the middle of watching Buzzcocks 20.4 with Nicholas Hoult and indeed, they mention that Simon wrote for Skins lol (Am I possibly the last to know ?).
rosengirl: (TMB : Noelian is obvious)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHEEEEE I've just recieved the Barrowman autobiography *FANGIRL MODE*

Gosh ! For the pics alone it's worth it *can't stop laughing* I can't wait to start reading it.

I did my first colorbars of my current favourite guys and an evil Tiemcock icon.

How far can my love for David Tennant and John Simm go ? I have no idea.

We recieved the Doctor Who series 3 box in time yesterday and spent 5 hours with [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall watching the extras.

The David Tennant diaries show that this man is probably the most adorable actor you could possibly work with. He's all sweetness, excitement and geekiness which makes him impossibly HOT. We were pointing every single assistant director/costume designer/whatever, shouting "I WANT HIS/HER JOB, LUCKY BASTARD/BITCH !". And I must point out that John Barrowman and David are adorable with each other <333 and I loved when they were making fun of Freema XD
We didn't saw enough of John Simm but the moment he smiled that *MOST GORGEOUS SMILE OF TEH UNIVERSE* when David was bothering him with his camera was possibly the best bit of the whole thing. Well without counting naked Tennant filming himself in his trailer's mirror, OF COURSE.

Freema's tour was SO FRIGGING CUTE. She's a little ball of energy and rivals David in geekery.

The Deleted scenes may be the best extra of the box, only for the Human Nature ones ZOMG ! I understand why they had to cut it because it would have ruined the drama of the episode but man, John Smith singing "gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight" will be forever engraved in my skull. And the unaccelerated version of Martha's instructions had us laughing until we were in tears. I don't know how it is humanly possible to ramble this long (but it was Ten in a nutshell XD), kuddos to David.

The David/Freema/John commentary was glorious as well, we were laughing as hard as they were. DORKS.

All in all it felt way too short, which means that thoses five hours were really worth it.

We then watched Human Traffic for the first time and oh, TEH LOLZ people, TEH LOLZ. John Simm is hilarious in this !
I've come to realise that you can class his work in two categories. He either play serious and deep roles (State of Play, Life on Mars, The Yellow House, Blue/Orange) or... A wanker (Human Traffic, The Lakes, Boston Kickout, Forgive and Forget.)

Today we've programmed to watch Casanova and the Life on Mars series 2 extras, better get on with it.

See ya folks.
rosengirl: (RPS : david/freema SOINLUV)
I HAVE NO WORDS PEOPLE.

AND I AM SURE AS HELL NOT CUTTING THIS.

THE SECOND ONE IS KILLING ME. *stares and stares and stares*

(also, a Fratellis t-shirt ? David rocks XD)

That was today at the HMV signing.

I also found an hilarious vid of John Barrowman which I hadn't seen the full version before.

Snogging lessons )

OH JOHN. XD
I love the various reactions.
Obviously my own reaction is : WANTS NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM.

I was also tempted to pimp his clip for his new single, just for the sake of TEH LOLZ but it's even too cheesy for my lj.

OH MY GOD LOOK AT DAVID AND FREEMA BEING THE MOST ADORABLE CUTIES OF TEH UNIVERSE !

<333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
rosengirl: (TW : Jack/Spike fan service)
AE: There's a Captain Jack figure for Doctor Who, so would you like to see Torchwood toys?
JB: We can't have Torchwood toys because we can't market to children, because it's an adult show. [Laughs] We could do Torchwood [lists assorted sex toys].

*ROTFL* JOHN !! *clings*

AE: Are you ever going to kiss David Tennant?
JB: I don't know. [Smiles mischievously] I haven't yet … on the TV series.

YOU BIG TEASE MUFFIN YOU *HEARTS*

AE: Let's get back to the kissing David Tennant question. You kissed Christopher Eccleston. So would David do a kiss?
JB: I kissed Christopher because Jack was going off to die and that was a love for the Doctor as a person, but I think now Captain Jack does fancy David's Doctor. It's revealed in series three of Doctor Who because Martha Jones says something about liking the Doctor and I turn to her and say something to the effect of “Oh, you too?” So it's clearly out there. But I don't think they will kiss.

I just have so much love for that interviewer.

AE: In the first series of Doctor Who Captain Jack was naked and cleverly hid a gun in a unique place. Will there be more naked Jack?
JB: Yes, in series one he hid a gun in his ass. [Laughs] Not at the moment you won't, because John Barrowman hasn't had time to work on his love handles. I've been enjoying life too much. That's what happens when you work too many hours and can't get to the frickin' gym. So no nudity for Captain Jack for a while. But let me tell you that scene was fun to film in series one; that was my idea to pull the gun out of my ass.

It was his idea. What a shock. NOT.
*jumps him*

He really does the best interviews.
rosengirl: (John B. dreamy)
IT S THE OTHER JOHN'S TURN TO SLAY TEH FANGIRLZ NGHHHH )

There's this interview that goes with it btw. (I think that's the one [livejournal.com profile] fairy_bliss told us about today at the Starbucks because he talks about his leather fetish and how he never tried bondage but would like to (RIGHT.). I love that Scott's interviewed as well *draws hearts all over John/Scott*

ETA : LAST OF THE TIME LOLZ MACROS FTWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!! XD
rosengirl: (Pushing Daisies : Ned/Chuck kiss <3)
ETA : YAY first Pushing Daisies icon <3
I'm so going to do some myself.

I'll go from my least to my top favorite :

- Reaper : only watched 11 minutes of it. Dull and not funny at all.

- Californication : gosh ! David Duchovny's gotten old (I'd still hit that though) ! I kind of enjoyed his character but the story isn't my kind of thing. I guess I'll have to wait for the new X-Files movie to see him in something again lol.

- Chuck : I felt like I've seen this show a hundred times before. It's a mix between Alias and Jake 2.0 with a geek at the center of the story. I dig the concept and I found it quite funny at times so I may be willing to give it a try.

Moving on to those I'm definitely going to watch.

- The Sarah Connor Chronicles : *very* neat tie up to T2. And Summer Glau is GORGEOUS in that role *LOVES* It was fast paced and quite interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about this version of Sarah Connor yet but as for John *naughty thoughts*, yeah, I approve.

- Aliens in America : *GINORMOUS SMILE ON HER FACE* I. Effing. Loved. That. Pilot. I loved the tone, I loved the politicaly incorrectness of it and I loved the characters : the parents, the sister and Justin and Raja are about the CUTEST. OUTCASTS. EVER.*has died of teh cute* It feels fresh and original and looks very promising.

- Pushing Daisies : it's completely gorgeous and shiny. It is told like a fairytale. Ned is dashingly handsome, has the sweetest eyes and the sexiest voice (hi there, Lee Pace *thud*). It's an impossible love story between two people who CAN'T EVEN TOUCH EACH OTHER. Oh and there's pie, lots and lots of pies. In conclusion : MADE OF WIN \o/

- Dexter 201/202 : *ULTIMATE SQUEE OF DEATH* I love where they're going and the new arc is exciting me like crazy.

Nothing to do with anything but :

- The Friday Night Project with John Barrowman : Dear John, DO ME NAO. Lots of love. Rosengirl.
rosengirl: (David T. Naughty boy)
[livejournal.com profile] lilibel posted her pics of the con here.

And here's what I can provide :

We shrieked and then had a good laugh at the mall when we stumbled upon this flyer with John Barrowman on it :

oh you fabulous Barrowman you )

Here's pretty much all the goods I bought in one pic :

Doctor Who stole my cash )

I also couldn't resist buying this gorgeous MISTER MASTER OF PWNAGE artwork :

KNEEL. )

And since Ten is a slutboi alien tease, here's how I arranged him :

why yes, my ten doll is a gigantic slut )

Why yes, I am proud of my inner twelve year old self.
rosengirl: (John B. dreamy)
That's what John Barrowman had to say in his latest interview :

“There’s a scene between he and Jack when they first meet, all I’ll say is, this scene is so hot, so horny, so violent, that all the fans who watch it are going to [er, appreciate it greatly].”

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.

*is so friggin excited*

I also like that hilarious bit :

But I find it very interesting when people say, ‘How can women like [Captain Jack] because [he’s] gay?’ And it’s always men who say that.”

Haha. Men. XD
rosengirl: (TW : Jack/Jack kiss torchwood)
I just found this before going to bed and got all aaaaawww.

John and Scott's kiss of cuteness :

Mr Barrowman I heart you for sending me to bed with such a beautiful sight.
rosengirl: (David T. being super hot)
Ah ! David Tennant is rewinning the hotness contest over John Simm ! I don't know when John's counterstrike will blow XD

It's just that he wore the sexiest clothes ever and looked like a rockstar on stage *swoons*

David introducing the Pussycat Dolls :

HERE ARE TEH PIX OF SEXAYNESS He's really rocking that outfit *flails*

And here's the interview with Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton. It starts with a John Barrowman bit where he says that HE WENT TO A MADONNA CONCERT WITH DAVID TENNANT. *drops dead on the floor* Tennant doesn't speak much but sits back and manages to look incredibly pretty (and OMG just shut up already James Blunt ! You and your silly voice.).

In unrelated news, John Barrowman will be the guest host of the Friday Night Project on july 27 and I'm so EXCITED !

And finally, here's a bit in this month's issue of the Doctor Who Magazine which is gonna make me hunt it down at all costs when I'll be in Birmingham at the end of the month (as if the cover didn't do it for me already).

(Interviewer talks about the shooting of a scene in ep 13)
'In it, they must pretend to be terrified of a man waving a silver orb around on a stick. Is this officially the most Doctor Whoey sight ever? It could only get more Whoey if the Doctor himself arrived on set arm in arm with the Master, and they were bickering like schoolboys about, like, Time Lord tech... or... um...
"It's a sonic screwdriver," David explains.
"Sonic?" Scoffs John, a grin shining through his attempt at mock disgust. "Who'd have sonic? Laser, mate, that's what you want."
"The Doctor wouldn't use laser."
"This is brilliant, then - the Master will win!"
"He won't win, John. He never wins."
"He will."
"Won't."
"Will."
That actually happened, I swear. And it went on for some time.'

Arm in arm... Bickering like schoolboys... OMGSQUEEFLAILSDIES.
I mean John Simm talking about David's manly chin stubble on the last Confidential was bad enough (for my squee overdose) but now this ?
I'm picturing that kind of banter between them very well. And did they actually walked arm in arm on set ??? *faints*
I want more trivia about David Tennant and John Simm's interactions on set. Make that David Tennant, John Simms and John Barrowman. Because I loved the glimpse we saw of John B. making John S. laugh on the Confidential. Picturing them fucking jocking around together makes me happy in my pants.
rosengirl: (DW : Donna love)
This lj has become a Doctor Who shiny shrine, I'm sorry.

I might be able to talk about something else once it's been over for more that 5 days.

Speaking of, look, I made myself a Donna icon *points to this post icon* and an early series 4 icon *points to new default icon*

*is pleased with herself*

This is for [livejournal.com profile] ephyse, John Barrowman singing Anything Goes on the set of the Captain Jack Harkness episode :

*sighs dreamily*

Today I had the misfortune (or chance) to watch the Doctor Who movie with the Eighth Doctor and the Master. See, I'm preparing myself for the Badwolf Convention and I'm catching up with some old school stuff. I saw that one because Eric Roberts (the Master in the movie) and his wife (his... Wife in the movie) are going to be there. Well... I'm not sure to be able to contain the giggles when I'll see him now.

This movie is so very very bad it's almost becoming good.

The master was like a reject from a Terminator audition and so laughable and non frightening (especialy towards the end with his silly robe) that it became jawdropping at times.

The TARDIS interior was like a huge gothic castle. O.o

The regeneration between 7 and 8 was horrifying, it made me angry for the poor 7 because that was not a very dignified way to die for a Time Lord.

The scene where 8 sees himself in the mirrors and howls "WHO AM IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!" made me laugh non stop for about 5 minutes.

Grace was the worst companion ever and I wondered what she did to deserve all the lip locking with 8.

THE DOCTOR ISN'T HALF HUMAN, KTHX.

I might have become spoiled by the last series because I was wondering where all the slash between the Doctor and The Master had gone.

But I really, really, really liked the eighth doctor and he almost made up for the sheer badness of the movie.

I now need to watch the episodes with Four and Romana because TIMELORD PAIRINGS RULZZZ, yo. And also because we're going to have both Romanas at the convention.

ETA : Look at that GORGEOUS (not work safe) Ten/Master fanart ! *drools all over it* and this one's just adorable ! We have so many talented people in this fandom *claps*

ETA 2 : And look at this one !! *________*
