YAY !! It was a very nice weekend.

Went with tya_rc, lilibel and the bro and apart from the fact that we nearly drowned (there was flooding all over middle England) we had a really good time.

In short :

Friday

- lilibel and I did the HP night at a Borders (with a Starbucks within) on friday night and it was exciting because it was our first and last HP party. I resisted to buy it because I already was about to recieve it back home.


Saturday

- This con was packed with old geekboys (and some of them were disguised XD). We felt a little isolated but it was quite amusing (especialy the saturday night disco... OMG) There was a little more fangirls on sunday but you must already know how that turned out.
- tya_rc arrived saturday morning and she's such a "quiche" that I kept missing her while going to get her. In the end, I saw her walking aimlessly from afar and ran to catch her.
- Eric Roberts is a total hottie. Didn't realise that beforehand lol. I missed a little of his guest talk but he talked about Heroes and Chris in Heroes *squee*
- lilibel and I were the only ones from the four of us to go get autographs. First did Owen Teale (cannibal dude from the Torchwood episode 'countrycide') who still looks like a psycho but is in fact lovely lol. Then Yasmin Bannerman (Jabe the tree from 102 of Doctor Who, DI lady from Torchwood and girlfriend of the casino owner from 201 of Life on Mars), she looked BEAUTIFUL and she was a real sweetheart <3. And Eric Roberts KILLED me with is piercing blue gaze x___x
- A Dalek approached us and we were wondering in french if there was a guy inside and he said "bonjour" to us XD XD XD

Sunday

- Got up at 6.30 am to get tickets for Gareth's coffee loundge, regretted it later.
- The guest talk with Mat Rippy (the original Captain Jack) and Murray Melvin (Billis Manger) was my personal favorite. Matt wore casual clothes and looked very relaxed and friendly and Murray... looked EXACTLY like his creepy character XD. But apart from his appearance, he was the one making us laugh the most and he's totally charming and classy in a flamming gay lordy sort of way. Matt is a good natured texan and is even more handsome than his character *swoons* He talked about teh kiss and we learned that it wasn't rehearsed prior to the first take. That made me think of Gale and Randy's prom kiss in the QaF season 1 finale. They both cracked up about John Barrowman and told us some funny audition and shooting experiences they had.
- Gareth David Lloyd didn't show and had his phone turned off. It wasn't that he didn't make it that annoyed us the most but that he didn't tell the orginizer and that we had no explanations. But anyway, WHATEVER GDL, WHATEVER.
- We did the autographs session with Nick Briggs (voice of the Daleks), Matt Rippy and Murray Melvin in the afternoon. I saw Nick Briggs on his saturday's guest talk and he's as fun as you can imagine. I asked him if he could draw me something and he did a little Dalek and wrote "EXTERMINEE" (french for exterminate), I'll scan it in another post. Okaaaay Matt Rippy is drop dead gorgeous, I felt lightheaded when he smiled up at me and tried to pronounce "Amandine" correctly *flails* He signed "Captain Jack '41". Murray Melvin spoke a little french which didn't surprise me at all. lilibel took a picture of him and he posed as Billis again XD He's really nice and yeah, very very classy.
Since I lost the opportunity to take a picture with Matt thanks to Gareth *stabs* we waited with lili for the end of Matt's signing and took a chance at asking him if we could take a picture with him. The guy had been signing for three hours but took the time to pose with everyone who was asking *___* So I did one, lili did one and then we asked if we could take one with the both of us and he just smiled and agreed. Lovely lovely man.

Sunday night

- We saw HP5 in IMAX and were KILLED by the HD pretty. Everyone loved it, even the Bro (who isn't in HP at all).

Monday

- tya_rc and lilibel left early, the Bro and I had our plane late in the afternoon so we hanged out at a Starbucks and talked about this weekend and what our dream convention would be.
- At the airport, I forgot to take something to read with me and there was shops that were displaying HP7 all around us so I caved *facepalm*

I'm going to scan some things and take a picture of all the goodies I bought in a later post. I'll also link back to lilibel when she'll post the pics of the con.

By the way girls, I'm very sorry but there wasn't anything you asked me to bring you back :-/
