SPARKLY SPARKLY STUFF
May. 8th, 2010 12:55 am1. Saw Kick-Ass a couple of weeks ago. It was made of complete awesome !
I read the comics and did love most of the changes they made for the film, especially the depth added to the vilains. Mark Strong was perfect as usual and Christopher Mintz-Plasse made Red Mist very sympathetic. The action sequences and the soundtrack rocked like a rocking thing and OH HAI AARON JOHNSON.
Yes, I subsequently had a massive crush on Aaron Johnson. I MEAN.
Since then I saw him as a young Lennon in Nowhere Boy and he blew me away. I KNEW RIGHT THERE AND THEN THAT IT WAS LOVE.
I did a picspam of the film here. The trailer is here. It's brilliant and I highly recommend it (and wee adorable Thomas Sangster plays Paul McCartney and it's full of slash).
I also have Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging to see and I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ONE TO COME OUT :
( Gratuitous Aaron Johnson picspam of excruciating prettiness. )
I'm going to see Kick-Ass again tomorrow. I'M BUZZING WITH GIDDINESS.
2. I watched the 8 episodes reality series Be Good Johnny Weir and now OH YOU GUYS :
That was one hell of a great documentary. I mean I already liked him but after seeing this ? I have so much respect for him now it's not even funny. He works *so* hard to be on top without losing his principles. And he is fabulous and over the top and oh so presh.
Basically, that's what you need to know in a nutshell :
I started to have a lot of unexpected figure skating knowledge thanks to BGJW and ended up joining
ontd_skating. I REGRET NOTHING OMG. THIS FANDOM IS HILARIOUS AND BRINGS SO MUCH SPARKLES AND GIGGLES.
( My ships, let me show you them + gratuitous Ice Princess picspam )
3. I saw Iron Man 2 and obviously loved loved LOVED RDJ and Sam Rockwell in it but I was a bit disappointed. It had awesome bits but as a whole it was packed with too much stuff and just not as good as the first one.
4. I *finally* found a job after leaving school and start on monday so basically, \o/
