That image of Ten's regeneration will haunt my dreams every night of the week until 413 because (well it's silly since I *know* it can't happen) I AM TRAUMATIZED. I so wasn't ready to see that -_- Cruelest. Cliffhanger. Ever.

THE EPISODE WAS OTHERWISE MADE OF COMPLETE AWESOME.

THE COMPANIONS AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE ALL FTW BUT WHAT TRULY STUCK WITH ME WAS :

Harriet Jones, former Prime Minister. SHE MADE ME DIE OF GLEE MKAY ? BEST. CHARACTER'S RETURN. EVAR. EVAR. EVAR.

AND ILU ARCHANGEL DRUMS, ILU (THE MASTER WILL BE INVOLVED NEXT WEEK OBVS *PUNCHES THE AIR*).

MARFA was also kicking ass like a pro \o/ I AM GAY FOR FREEMA BTW.

SARAH JANE WON SO. HARD. AND JACK HIT ON HER \o/

Rose was lulzy and loveable most of the time but I kinda twitched at her reaction to Martha (okay my brother may have heard me yell "THAT'S MARTHA AND SHE WINS MKAY NOW SHUT UP" at the screen)

Ianto was also lulzy <3

The Doctor speaking Judoon made us laugh the hardest.

That weird moment when Donna heard a heartbeat ? Yeah... I'm thinking those fobwatched theories floating around may definitely become real.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the scene where Ten had them all on his screen. And I adored both Ten and Jack's reaction to Luke (it was so damn cute <3). OH AND DONNA WAS ALL HULLO THAR WITH JACK. WHICH MADE ME REALLY HAPPY, YES.

ARGH THERE'S TOO MUCH TO WRITE ABOUT. I CAN'T DO A PROPER REVIEW.

Davros and Caan were made of evil win. I ADORED that Caan saved Davros from the Time War and was driven mad in the process, that's just too awesome for words. I'm not sure about the Iron Man Supreme Dalek yet because I'm not really seing the point of him, at least for now.

The Ten/Rose reunion : Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure if I loved it or not. Because the first time they laid eyes on one another made my heart stop but the 'running towards each other' bit ? Was kinda cheesy in a not so good way ? Because I did love 50% of it but the other part of me was going (LOLZ it's like a cheap romance film). The fact that the Daleks are anti Ten/Rose was hilarious, though.

BUT THAT LAST SCENE. THAT BLOODY LAST SCENE.

I didn't like her behaviour in that scene and was annoyed yes, so sue me. Especially her "I was there first", hum EXCUSE ME ? Susan was there first if you want to talk.
I don't know why she didn't know about Martha since she knew about Donna and even then, I don't know why she thought there wouldn't have been someone else after her.
I get that she's frustrated because she's not in the conference but I do think that it was gratuitous to have her rant at Martha. And I'm certainly not the only one to have felt this way.

Martha never made a direct negative comment on Rose apart from the "OH SHE WAS BLONDE" in Utopia and after a series where she was constantly feeling that she came second best, I'm not really blaming her.

Here, Rose doesn't even know who she is !

Rose doesn't know her, and that's why she didn't make any comment on her personally! I think all the comments she made where linked to the fact that everybody who actually played a part in the story was in the conference, and where *she* should have been (as shown by her "Harriet, that's me!" comment when the connection was being difficult) there was a girl she knew nothing about. I mean, there's Jack that she obviously knows, there's Donna that apparently matters in the whole of creation, and just when Rose tries to connect herself - Rose who made it all the way from a parallel Universe - there's a random chick whose part she knows nothing about at her place. That does beg for some "mmmmkay, could someone at least acknowledge my presence in this Universe" kind of reaction. She didn't rant at Martha, she ranted at the fact Martha was acknowledged when she wasn't.

She obviously knows things about Donna we ignore, Destiny Stuff-like things, but I doubt she gets the Parallel Universe Channel so obviously she can't know anything about the Doctor that isn't directly linked to Donna. Donna is the key here, not the Doctor. So that makes sense that she'd have a different reaction to Donna than Martha.

(Frankly, I think Rose's reaction is WAY more justified than any of Martha's reactions during the third series - considering that when Martha made those comments she was new to the Doctor and had no right to judge any part of his past. At least Rose has the right to some entitlement, considering her past with the Doctor, and the fact that she comes from far, far, far away - only to have herself ignored.)

Well as always, we'll have to agree to disagree (and I'm going to bed)

I'm seing this turning YET AGAIN into a big Rose vs Martha argument and I don't want to engage in it since I am so fed up with this.

I LOVE ROSE, which doesn't mean that I can't be bothered by her behaviour sometimes, in the end I still mostly really liked her since her return. But that scene made me twitch, I saw various reactions to it and it's personal to each and everyone of us but I don't think you can make only one interpretation of it and claim it as the only way to see the scene.

Personally I don't get why she thought she would get in the conference since nobody knew she was back in the first place.

(I am not responding to this because it's just eyerolls worthy, sorry.)

EDIT : oh and I never said that Rose had to fall madly in love with Martha btw. My comment to magicallaw was for the lolz (but I'd definitely be happier if they got along next week).

That was such good stuff. I want the Doctor to split into 3-Chris Eccleston, David Tennant and Eleven :D

I loved EVERYTHING except the bits where i had to force myself to ignore Rose returning to twat mode. i.e. jealous!Rose when the world is in danger and 'don't regenerate'!Rose. She is meant to be all grown up and past School Reunion now and she knows about regeneration. If it matters that he looks different and stuff then she should have mourned CE for longer. And i don't want her to be martyr!Rose 'the most faithful companion' either. They are ALL very very faithful and fantastic and i will never believe otherwise. And the running scene was corny but DT's facial expression was lovely.

Oh I forgot to mention "don't regenerate!" Rose ! It made me go O_o, it's not like she has already seen a regen before, like, NOT AT ALL. Because that behaviour could be read as "I LIKE YOU FOR YOUR LOOKS KTHX" and she was already in love with Nine so WTF does it matter to her what he looks like ? *facepalm*

And I agree on the running scene, I liked BP's happy face as well, it wasn't the actors who are to blame but the excecution was poor, imho.

Yeah- i didn't exclude BP cos she was bad, it's just that DT is fabulous. I think that it's just a very corny idea and very hard to execute well. All it needed was a beach and a sunset and we're watching soapies at 4pm.

XD It was so great to see her again. For a rather small character she is very complex and interesting. It's nice to see that she's integral to the plot.

I just had a new idea- perhaps the Doctor will regenerate into something evil! Because Caan said stuff like 'the Dark lord is coming' so maybe they used something special on him to control his regeneration.

Moi j'ai trouvé ça bien qu'il se laisse pas démonter et puisse encore trouver à rire dans une situation pareille :)

La scène Ten/Rose, ce n'est pas spécialement les retrouvailles qui m'ont géné vu que comme je l'ai dit j'ai adoré le moment où ils se voient pour la première fois. Et je conçois tout à fait que ne pensant jamais se revoir, ils soient over the moon, mais l'excécution ne m'a pas vraiment plu. J'ai vraiment trouvé que ça faisait cliché de romantic comedy (sauf évidemment pour la Dalek interruption XD). Mais tu parles des Ten/Rose fans, autant certaines fics me donnent des boutons autant ça me fait encore quelque chose quand je le vois à l'écran ^^

Et cookie ne dira rien de cinglant parce qu'elle ne l'a pas fait au téléphone :p

Seriously, put yourself in her place: you have just turned up from a paralell universe and all the people you knew and loved (Jack, Harriet Jones) are fawning over this girl because she is "former Companion of the Doctor". Rose thought DONNA was the companion who came after her. She has no idea who this Martha Jones is, except she's sleek, sexy and beloved by all. Mwhahaha. XD
