Teh bro, angeliksmall and jedicathy are currently in London and went to see the Mighty Boosh last night at the Wembley Arena. My brother texted me a pic of the stage from their seats and I had a ridiculous squee moment on their behalf XD
I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did with eph. I even dreamt that we were with them at the stage door afterwards and that both Noel and Julian were there having their picture taken without annoying fangirls trying to grope them or screaming in their face, it was all very calm and not awkward, even for Julian. Wishful dreams : you has them.

I bought the DWM yesterday and Oh. My. God. I cannot tell you how RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED I am for the Doctor Who christmas special. I was reading the preview and the David Morrissey interview (that issue is full of incredibly hot pics of him, btw *____*) and I felt all tingly and joyful inside. I share my love between a lot of shows but nothing compares to this feeling I get when a new episode of Doctor Who is close to airing. It's indescribable but 100% awesome.


They really are saying all over the mag that Morrissey's Doctor *is* a proper future regen of Ten and definitely not a conman. In that case colour me twice as excited ! Yet I don't know how it's supposed to work because Morrisey is also making it clear in his interview that he is definitely not eleven, he also said that it was the tragic side of his character that drowned him to the role. Intriguing !
It's going to be darker and with a more intimate story at the heart of it than VOTD let's hope that it will have more plot too. They're also raving about Dervla Kirwan's character, Miss Hartigan. Indeed, she looks like a very classy vilain.

They said that a press screening will take place closer to christmas and that the promos will start on the telly next week. I will be careful because I desperately want to remain unspoiled on that one.

I'll end on the fantastic Ten quote from the Next Doctor that made me laugh out loud on the train :

"But you're the Doctor ! The next Doctor ! Or the next-but-one, a future Doctor anyway. No, don't tell me how it happened ! Although I hope you didn't just trip over a brick, that would be embarrassing. Then again, painless. Worse way to go. Depends of the brick."

Okay so the last part of this sentence may have been in my head BUT THIS IS TRUFAX.

I ADORED THE SCENE WHERE HE TOLD THE CRACKTASTIC MADE UP STORY TO TAUB AND KUTNER. And his scene with House at the cafeteria <3
Taub telling House to admit his true feelings to Cuddy with 13 and Kutner cracking up in the background was hilarous. The new ducklings work so well as a team now and my love for them is fierce <3
Btw, I don't know why but I'm really enjoying all the Taub/Kutner scenes we're given lately.
Cuddy randomly showing up was also lulzy, especially because she was full of snark and it annoyed House to no end XD

CLINIC DUTY HOW I MISSED THEE !!!! OH I LAUGHED. screwed up sexy House/Wilson games Virgin Birth and inhalers used on necks = \o/

13/Foreman IS MAGNIFICENT. They are so right for each other and the actors have a nice chemistry. I really enjoyed their part of the episode and I totally squeed with delight during their kiss. The evolution of the relationship was well handled and felt very natural. I think I need a 13/Foreman icon <3
The POTW plot was a bit hard for a christmas episode, I did tear up :(
Although I'm awefully happy that Cuddy finally gets a baby ! Happy for the character obviously, and also because I'm sensing it will have the desired effect on Huddy.

The Buzzcocks finale PWNED. I didn't know who Josh Groban was before this and I AM INFATUATED NOW. He may sing terrifying stuff which may currently be growing on me but the guy is awesome beyond reason <3
Simon/Josh may be attractive but I'm really shipping him with his hand because JOSH GROBAN'S HAND/ JOSH GROBAN = OTP.
Also, Simon singing on Phil's shoulder : cuter than a basket full of kittens Y/Y ?
I enjoyed this series but they really, REALLY need to get Bill Bailey back.
I will also be sulking into next year because we never got to see the Russell Brand episode.

The IT Crowd 304 wasn't as funny as last week but I was still laughing like mad at some parts

Merlin finale tonight ! Probably thanks to my obsessive mind focused elsewhere, I remain 100% spoiler free. I have my suspicions because I saw people freak out but I can't wait finding out in the actual episode since it rarely happens that way for me anymore. I hope it will meet my expectations ! (not that I'm worrying since Merlin rarely disappoints).

You're probably wondering WTF I'm using this icon for by now so it's time to come clean.

This past week, thanks to a random post about the live action series, I fell back in an unexpected Sailor Moon kick. I never saw the end of the live action series so it was the opportunity. Except that I started from the beginning because I couldn't remember where I stopped. OH THE GLORIOUS CRACK. MY HEART, IT CAVED.
Eventually I saw some episode of the anime on youtube and thought that it would be kind of time, ten years after the end, to get my hands on the 200 episodes and 3 films and watch everything properly, uncensored and in japanese. Not that I have a gazilion things to watch already, noooo.
It's not my fault really, Sailor Moon is basically made of complete win. The live action series is addicting and the anime, from the few episodes I rewatched aged surprisingly well.

I should mention that I often said that the first show I had a real fannish obsession about was Buffy, which is not entirely true. Sailor Moon was the very first real fannish affair I had during my preteen years. Because I wasn't only watching the censored, badly dubbed version on the Club Dorothée obsessively, I was also making scrapbooks and collecting every items I could find on my beloved anime.

Rediscovering it today in all its glory feels very special. I read on a website that french censorship on the anime wasn't, in fact, about violence but principally concerned the established gay relationships and gay characters. Either they changed dialogues to make it look like a 'deep frienship' or they cut whole scenes altogether. Heaven forbid children to be exposed to the existence of homosexuallity, right ? Needless to say that I was shocked and appalled.

So that's my current quest, watching all things Sailor Moon, good and proper.
Surprising nostalgic rush of burried love is surprising.

How many seasons did they show in France, out of interest? I was only lucky to see the first two seasons on TV in the UK because we had satellite. It completely bombed on terrestrial over here because they showed it at SIX AM.

Ahahaha, they were just promoting it on BBC 1 and the announcer said "How far will Merlin go to protect his destiny?" His DESTINY? Why don't you just say Arthur and get it over with?! :PP

They showed 3 seasons and a half. I never got to see the end of Super S or the whole of Stars and I know that there's a bunch of episodes from previous seasons which never aired as well.
All 18 volumes of the manga were published (I have them somewhere but I can't find where I stored all the volumes *annoyed*) but they weren't reedited. I would love them to publish the new deluxe edition that came out in Japan a few years back but apparently Naoko Takeuchi doesn't want to share her work with the rest of the world anymore *also annoyed*

AFAIK the only countries where Stars has been dubbed are Italy and Russia, and even they glossed over the whole "the Starlights are cross-dressers and Seiya is in love with Usagi" thing. This is why it'll never be dubbed into English, at least.

I have all 18 volumes as well! :D I have Vol. 18 in French, as well as all the Sailor V manga (which you can't get in English). The Sailor Moon manga is now out of print in English, so I'm really lucky. I wish they would bring out the deluxe editions as well, but it seems like most people have forgotten about Sailor Moon. :/

Sailor Moon is my childhood, right there. One of these days I should actually get around to watching all the Japanese anime, movies, and live action. I know that the eps shown here were heavily edited and whatnot. I think I still have a SM poster somewhere. And a couple dolls packed away.

I remember, though, that I was upset as well when I found out that they took out the gay relationships. They made Uranus and Neptune either cousins or really close friends, I forget. But I finally saw an episode in Japanese back in high school and found out they were a couple! Yeah, America. You're so 'open-minded.' Ugh.

Welcome to the club ! That's a pretty big task to engage into, but you should at least take a look at the live action because it is hilariously cracktastic (and actually quite good plot-wise when they finally get on with it).

Uranus and Neptune I remembered, however I had no idea about Kunzite and Zoisite and a bunch of other characters. I just assumed that it wasn't there in the first place, not that it was cut out ! France wasn't much more open minded that America, I'm afraid.

Sailor Moon was one of my first fandoms, too (although I didn't know to call it that back then) and we only got the anime series, Englishized and edited apparently ... I've been meaning to start the major re-watch (especially since not all the episodes aired here). I had the hugest crush on Tuxedomask -- I really wanted to find a REAL guy like him (hot, sexy, and awesome).
